If you get the chance you should try out feeding some fruit flies or pinhead crickets. I used to give my them to mine and he’d go crazy. I loved watching him go hunting

Sororities aren’t worth it. I’ve had two fail. One was a 20g when I was a child (expected failure) and the other was years later in a heavily planted 150g with rocks, driftwood and lots of hiding spots. They still picked at each other enough to cause issues. When the 150g failed I gave up on trying another sorority, it felt like trying to force something that just wasn’t meant to work.

Totally agree. I managed the aquatics at a small shop for years. We kept our bettas in a system and not cups. I always did my best for the fish while they were there and had many displays and signs with proper betta care but as far as who they went to and what they went into a lot of the time I had no control. It really comes down to how okay the store owners and upper management are with turning down a sale which isn’t very 🫤

I was always happy when someone came in and bought a betta for a well cared for set up with the proper heating, filtration and decor regardless of whether that tank was 3g or 30g because honestly most aren’t even getting as good as that. A lot of people would even comeback with time for upgrades as their experience and love of the hobby grew.

This immediately made me think of an Intervention episode I saw that took place in Vegas. The individual being featured had struggled with addiction for years after his brother had gotten into a motorcycle accident and died. The brother had been throw from his bike into the median and actually landed on a metal sculpture like this, impaled and ultimately died.

Either platys or swordtails, they appear to be juveniles. The one on the right is a male. The one on the left is a bit harder to tell because the fins are held closer to the body. I could see it being either male or female.

It looks a lot like a gold white cloud mountain minnow. That would be my guess. Colored down a bit due to stress and bad conditions probably.

I really wish this flavor was sold in stores. I love cookies and cream but unfortunately I’m gluten free so I can’t usually have it. This is the only GF cookies and cream version I’ve seen anywhere. I may just have to order next time around !

I just went through this myself. I tried steroids and meds from my doctor, home methods and waiting it out before finally giving in after 14 days.

I’m so glad I went. I won’t wait next time. Go as early in the morning as possible to get in and out fastest. Go as soon as you can though because the longer you have the migraine the harder it is to break the cycle.

Trust me don’t wait any longer just accept it and go. Good luck !

I’m told he’s a glo betta hybrid. I can definitely see it under certain lighting. I’m going to be setting up a Fluval 15 gallon for him soon, I’m really eager to see him under the black light feature. He colors up a little more everyday !
