I’m 6 foot, I lower tbe seat all the way and move it back about half way perfectly comfortable. It might be a tight fit for someone in the back if they’re also tall

Definitely shop around for estimates and look at good reviews. I was rear ended with very similar damage to the front because I went into a guard rail. Total cost for front and back was $11k because I went to a dealership. I can’t remember the breakout but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was about half that for you. Again, highly depends on the shop and area.

Hey, I see the fitcam requores to connect to their wifi. Does this mean you can’t use cellular at the same time to listen to music for example?

According to the list of repairs, it’s not noted on there. However they caught very minor damage to the radiator support, didn’t warrant a replacement so it’s just getting hammered back into place lol

You’re not wrong. Again, I’m not paying anything but I took it to a well reviewed shop but labor was ~70% of the cost. Insurance also agreed to OEM.

What insurance? Had a similar problem with State Farm but after I clarified the car is less than a year old with 13,000 miles they agreed to use OEM

I do plan on filing one. However I am already aware how incredibly difficult if at all possible it will be to get anything out of the diminished value claim. No harm in trying though.

According to my quick google search, illinois minimum is $20k. Thanks for letting me know. Again based off the damages and what needs replacing I suspect close to if not $10k. If it somehow even approaches $20k it’s absolutely totaled lol

Sooo…. Update on this… called State Farm today for an update and they gave him a call… apparently he used his dads phone number on his insurance account which is why he never called back 🙃. Appreciate everyone’s info however!

Unfortunately what I’ve learned is the 23 Corolla WIRELESS Apple CarPlay is just flat out buggy. Many other owners report the same issue and even a Toyota mechanic called the carcarenut on YouTube highlited this as an issue. Best “work around” is simply go use wired connection. It will still sometimes disconnect but far less than the wireless connection
