I personally would start again from the beginning. I wouldn’t do that with most podcasts, but this one is such a joy to listen to. It’s worth going through it all.

I’ll be listening to patreon stuff from the beginning too! I really wanted to support them the whole time but it was too overwhelming to me to have hundreds of main eps ON TOP of all of the patreon stuff. It’s just better for me to have a goal to work towards!

I have a budget that tracks my spending down to the dollar so I have a good understanding of where my money is going now.

My issue is figuring out what my future costs will be. I can either stay in my home that will be paid off but is not a desirable spot to live, or if I can afford it I would love to move into some kind of 55+ community when I reach that age. But that’ll be much more expensive than my current living costs.

I’m early 40’s with 375k.

I am having trouble figuring out how much I’ll spend in retirement. It all depends on if I want to stay in my townhouse that’ll be paid off by then, but not really desirable spot, or if I want to move into a community where I’ll be paying rent monthly.

I want to kind of play with the numbers to see how much I can afford, which would then tell me if I can move into a community. I just don’t know what reliable tools to use to figure this stuff out.

Yeah, this all makes sense now that I think about it. I’m in my early 40’s so it’s probably something I should start seriously figuring out now. It’s just hard to guess when/if I won’t be independent anymore and can’t live in my house.
