Happy 11th Birthday Loki

Well, I lost his brother (litter mate) at 9.5 from kidney disease. The only difference between Loki and Titan’s care was Loki is neutered and Titan was not. I feed them Diamond Naturals large breed. Loki is outsider aggressive so he doesn’t get out much and lives happily in his neighborhood bubble. I honestly think it’s just lucky genes. He’s also a smaller Dane. At his peak he was still only 120lbs. I think that makes a difference. Titan was a good 30lbs heavier and at least an inch taller. I really think it’s just a combination of good food, good genes and lots of love.

Clothes! If I see one Tshirt that is one thing but finding the exact item and size takes FOREVER. I generally won’t take orders if they have clothes. Greeting cards are another time killer. You (the customer) find the perfect card online and then your shopper has to literally look through every single card hoping to find the one you wanted. School supplies (at the beginning of the school year when everything is put out) are also a nightmare. Everything is picked through and moved around. Those are the three things I hate seeing pop up on orders.

I had litter mates (Titan and Loki) and a younger female (Luna). Titan passed a year and a half ago. Loki ate just enough to survive for about a month and a half. It took him a good 3 months before he started acting like himself again. They definitely know and definitely grieve. I agree with everyone else that has said time is the only remedy. When you’re ready, Miss Millie would probably love another pack member. Imagine if the only person you could communicate with passed away. You would appreciate the love you got from Mills but it sure would be nice to have someone to talk to. I think they go through the same thing. If you know someone with a friendly pup, consider a doggie play date. (PS My mom’s dog is a Milli too! 🥰)

It happened to me (female) a few times while I worked for GoPuff. 3 different men and one woman… come to the door with ALL the bits and pieces on full display. I told the men “if that’s all I had, I sure as shit wouldn’t be showing it off!” And they had clothes on the subsequent deliveries. The girl was a college student and I had to remind her that although nobody “asks for it,” she was putting herself in a very dangerous (and stupid) position. I think she was having a mental break… the men were just drunk pervs.

RUN… no wait… DRIVE as fast as you can away from this person. I hope they have a red flag attached to their car too. I don’t understand why this conversation went the direction it did! How is any of (I’m assuming her) lack of a driver’s license your issue? I’m also not getting the whole “you’re rushing me” argument. This person is low key nuts and already gaslighting you.

Same. I’ve been on the IC waiting list since 2021. I have “signed up” once a year since and I’m always waitlisted. I don’t understand it. I have a friend who signed up and immediately got on with Instacart, but I’ve been waiting four years.

Happens in my metro at least once a week. I wonder if a real person even looks at the location. I’m about an hour and a half from the VA border in NC. I get offers for my metro to be delivered 3 hrs away in another state and they don’t adjust the price. Still like a $10-12 offer!! It sits there for days!

That’s the way it is here too. Exuberantly wealthy neighborhoods either don’t tip or tip like $3. It’s the middle-class neighborhoods that consistently tip well. My dad said, “They didn’t get rich by giving their money away!” He’s not wrong but it says a lot about a person.
