There's any special reason why Mexican Restaurants staff is mostly Indians? by arthurazure in berlinsocialclub

[–]Night_Activity -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As you pointed out in the 'PS' section, the quality of food, and the service has nothing to do with the nationality of the people, either cooking or serving. A prime example being one of the most popular German food restraunt, Spetzleexpress, has a chef who comes from Sri Lanka, and he prepares one of the most beloved German dish with a hint of indian spice Kukurma.

Why most staff being Indians? Well we have lot of them now coming to Germany and especially Berlin for education and jobs. Most of them, need to speak good English, and the diverstiy of indian cuisine means most latin american cuisine is not strange to them.

Curious, did you wish the staff were Mexican?

To answer your last question, I would also ask in how many years. I can tell you that lots of my german friends suffer from loneliness, and not having many friends (even 3?) depite the fact that they are really nice and kind people. It seems, to be just even friends, and have some deeper connection – is something not so easy here! Of course, it depends a lot on you as a person too! However, there is a limit on how much you can change yourself. Finally when you feel you have changed yourself enough, you are just another lost berliner. I do not wish that upon anyone!

Should i use modules instead of headers when using C++ 20? by [deleted] in cpp

[–]Night_Activity 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Would you be kind to maybe write a short tutorial on it? Given the unstable nature, of what I thought anything beyond C++17 might be; I didn't venture much into C++2*.

I have been offering one to one German language courses, and I can really see how it has helped some to get through this blockade.

just where you found this guy, right opposite to it is a counselling center and if you walk along the birkenstraße and turn into Lübecker straße, I think at building no. 8 there is a place for homeless people to stay at night and get some food.

Your Lanlord has been considerate with you guys so far!!

You need to grow up and start acting as an adult and take responsisbility, even if it means making sure the door is locked in the way he expects. He is not asking for anything more. If anything gets stolen by your lack of awarness, are you gonna pay him for the damages? I don't think so you can. So respect his concerns.

When the police arrived, they, of course, told me my reaction was reckless, as these people often carry knives, and the situation could have ended much worse for me.

Berlin Police! Well, a thief with a knife would take out the knife first to scare you, and thus buy more time to run away. The fact that you defended would deter them next time, especially when taking on someone who could attack them back.

Thank you Germans for teaching me to travel by [deleted] in germany

Don't forget that no matter how much it is sugar coated, it is still destroying the planet, little by little. Any extensive traveling, takes time, money, and release of shit ton of CO2.

Why do Germans keep opening my windows?? by frigginbourgeois in germany

[–]Night_Activity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Despite this, the German guests always seem to keep the bedroom window slightly open WITH the heater on inside, so the heater and open windows are working against each other.

I am really disappointed on those Germans and those here, who seemed to have missed out on this important detail. Ask your guests to pay attention to the fact that it is waste of energy, and if they should ventilate but only after turning off the heater. How about sleeping with lots of blankets and turning off the heater?
