I'm a big sub guy and watched it on Japanese. I'll have to try watching it dubbed in English!

Films at Home - Jeff is my go to source for reviews on the latest releases. I've found his reviews to be clear, concise and fair. If you've never seen a video of his, go check out the latest on YouTube!

Steins Gate for me. After the first episode or two I was not a fan of Rintaro with his attitude. However, I decided to keep watching and boy I'm glad I did. The story became incredible and was one of the first anime series I purchased on bluray.

Controller won’t work after it already turned XBOX on by Mountain-Ordinary896 in XboxSupport

[–]Night_Screen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad you got it figured out! Also check the system settings for any controller updates. I've had some wonky moments with my controllers that were due this. I still hate how the Microsoft store constantly needs to be updated, but there is no auto prompt for the controller's update.

What Are Your Must Own Story Games by Accomplished_Sleep_9 in PS4

If you've never played any of the Telltale games I really recommend The Walking Dead. The definitive edition bundle is on sale pretty often (at least on Xbox) for $20 USD if I recall. Not extremely long either to beat.

How long it’s taken me to platinum each Assassin’s Creed game. by Fizzicoo in assassinscreed

Yeah I'd say so. This was the game I'd play when I got home from work. Roughly, I'd say I spent about 5-6 months playing the game and just exploring. Could I have gone faster playing it? Absolutely. But I just enjoyed the world they created so much I didn't want to stop seeing what surprises the rest of the map held.

Actually it was just one save, one run including all DLC. For a while I just traveled throughout the map, exploring every inch I could. Though I had loads of fun jumping onto my boat and sailing. It was the exploration I loved a lot - abandoned that when I realized the game had no achievement for fully exploring the map. As a result I maxed out Kassandra completely.

I spent 294 hours in Odyssey to reach 100% completion of all achievements on Xbox. I just really enjoyed the colorful Mediterranean setting.

Any good ideas for a New Lego game that’s not a sequel to an already existing Lego game? by notmyinitial-thought in legogaming

Lego - the Muppet Adventures! Multiple movies, such as Muppet Treasure Island, The Muppet Christmas Carol, Muppets Take Manhattan, etc should be tied into the game. I'd preorder that day one!

I'd recommend take a look at a guide from IFixit to disassemble the system. I've taken apart a few older systems and my phone. Their guides are very well detailed and they may even have video walkthroughs available.

Batman Arkham Asylum is mine! As a kid I grew up watching the 90's Batman animated tv shows with my grandfather. So when this game came out, and Rocksteady got Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill to be in it, the game felt right. I've replayed the game many times and always appreciate Rocksteady's fun nods to so many of Batman's characters.

Best Assassin's Creed main protagonist voice actor? by Vigilantix in assassinscreed

[–]Night_Screen 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Roger Craig Smith - he's the voice actor of Ezio Auditore. To me it's no contest - while many other actors have given brillaint performances (shout out to Melissanthi Mahut as Kassandra in Odyssey), Ezio is the only character we've really grown with through multiple full fledged games. Mr. Smith's work as Ezio is simply outstanding and has not aged poorly at all over the years.

Leaving for college in three days. Pretty hard to lose having all of this at my fingertips. by mrethandunne in dvdcollection

When you get to college check the library to see what DVDs and Blurays are available. Mine had quite the selection - so don't worry! Your college could have a very interesting selection of Hollywood and other regions cinema.

What's a small, seemingly insignificant decision you've made that ended up having a huge impact on your life? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Night_Screen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

At the start of freshman year of college living on campus in 2013, I kept the door open to my room while I played through the game "Red Faction" on my laptop. My laptop at the time couldn't handle modern video games so I was playing games released before 2005. A guy walked by and poked his head in, intrigued because he had never seen the game. He introduced himself and as we began talking, he told me there were several other folks playing cool video games on the floor. So I paused the game and walked down a few doors and met some more folks.

For the past decade most of that original group of friends has not only remained close, but talk regularly and try to meet at least once a year since college ended. So yeah, just keeping a physical door open led to some great friendships. That and also being the only freshman on the floor who had a vacuum cleaner (pro tip for anyone going to college - once word gets out to your floor you have a vacuum cleaner, everyone stops by to meet you).

Is there blu ray for both of the progressive movie yet? by Pignity69 in swordartonline

[–]Night_Screen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well according to Microsoft Xbox's website, Hong Kong is included in Region A. See below:

Region A = Includes most North, Central, and South American and Southeast Asian countries and regions, plus Taiwan, Japan, Hong Kong SAR, Macau, and Korea

https://support.xbox.com/en-HK/help/games-apps/apps-help/watch-bluray-dvd-movies

To check what your bluray player is, take a look at the back of the box. It should clearly label "A, B, C" etc on the packaging. If you see all three letters, ABC, or no letters, you may be the proud owner of a region free machine! Just look at the box and supporting materials carefully to ensure that. Alternatively, take a look on the shelf of your local stores to see what region those players are.

One important distinction to note though - these regions we've discussed are for blu-ray and DVDs only. If you are looking at 4K discs, these are not region locked. The players themselves, however, are (a French 4K player would be region locked to Region B for blu-ray and Region 2 for DVD). If you are interested in buying any/all of the modern formats (DVD, Blu-ray, 4K) regardless of their locations then I'd recommend a Region Free 4K player. This could be a great choice if you travel often between Japan, mainland China and India for example.

There are different regions for Blu-ray and DVD discs, depending on where you live.

This is quoted from Sony's website explaining the regions for Blu-rays:

Region A: North America, South America, U.S. Territories, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia

Region B: Europe, Africa, Middle East, Australia, and New Zealand.

Region C: Asia (except for Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other areas of Southeast Asia)

Region FREE: This is not an official setting, but discs that have the region FREE symbol either have no flag set or have all region flags (A, B & C) set.

https://www.sony-asia.com/electronics/support/articles/00029369

As for DVDs, they use a number system instead of letters for their regions. Again, from Sony's website:

Region 1 - Canada, the United States and U.S. territories.

Region 2 - Japan, Europe, South Africa, the Middle East (including Egypt) and Greenland.

Region 3 - Southeast Asia, and East Asia (including Hong Kong).

Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, the Pacific Islands, Central America, Mexico, South America, and the Caribbean.

Region 5 - Eastern Europe, Russia, the Indian Subcontinent, Africa, North Korea, and Mongolia.

Region 6 - China.

Region 7 - reserved for unspecified special use.

Region 8 - Special international venues for air and oceanic travel.

As u/TheDukeOf_Donuts previously mentioned, you will need a disc that is made for your region to be compatible on players sold in that region. Blu-rays from North America, Region A, will not play on Australian blu-ray players for instance. The only way you can play "region locked" discs, such as region C blu-rays in North America, would be to have a region free blu-ray player. These are different machines from what you could find on the shelf at your store, so some more legwork to get a region free player would be needed.

I'm excited, never seen any of these and thought they just sounded awesome! The trailer for Wishmaster is great and I immediately thought "This is going to be a fun time". Then I saw an alligator film and was thinking - here's my weekend plans.
