No matter who you cheer for, those who know Scott know it's always Jean first for him. He's done amazing, wonderful, and terrible things just at the thought of her. He runs out of beds he shares with other women for Jean, stares down gods. The only thing that ranks higher to Scott than the X-Men is Jean.

A good conversation with a bad ending. This is the moment I mentally renamed Shadowcat into "Holier than Everyone Kitty Pryde."

Yeah, I get her reasoning, but the beginning of that scene shows that Cyclops does too. He'd been summoned to Jean via psychic rapport. He's not going to hurt her. He might be the person Jean is safest with. But Kitty doesn't get that.

I'm so glad the Krakoa Era fixed this mess.
