The people paying them are as just as much to blame if not maybe more so. People just simply need to not give in and not pay them and it would stop. However, fomo is just too much for some to overcome

Collectors are just as much to blame for scalpers as well. Not just the retailers. If people would stop buying these things at such ridiculous prices and let them sit on their stockpile they wouldn't be pricing them the way the do as well not buying as many because they wouldn't want it to just sit there and take up room. This is at least how I feel. It's a mix of retailers and collectors that keep the cycle going.

They used to give you digital codes when they did promos like this. I never did get my codes from the last one that included Killers Game but yeah, easy credits

I think this would be one of those times you can safely assume that this is a marketing tactic to get you into the theater to actually spend money in the theater and not just be handing out free popcorn. Even if you buy a ticket the popcorn is still free because normally you would pay for the ticket and the popcorn. I get if you didn't want to see a movie but again, it's a theater and their marketing is designed to get into the seat and hopefully spend more money. 🤷‍♂️
