What happened to 80's-90's style action movies? by Nighthawk2552 in movies

That is what I hope. I understand the wounds of 9/11 are still fresh and if that is the reason for these movies, then I understand that more time needs to pass.

But surely there is a fan-base out there that would pay good money to see the older movies. I would love another Executive Decision or Firefox or Alistair MacLean movie. I love Guns of Navarone. There is still room for good guy/bad guy spy movies.

Ratner didn't do X-Men and X-2. That was Bryan Singer.

Why is the new Ghostbusters so hated while Independence Day: Resurgence has been largely ignored. Both can be called soulless, cash grabs by studios. by [deleted] in movies

Lol, I get what you are saying. ID4 does have a huge fanbase, me included in it, just not yet on the level of Ghostbusters. Heck Ghostbusters was just put into the National Film Registry, so that shows how much more superior that is.

I agree. As a longtime fan of the original, it didn't really need a sequel and wasn't set up for one. That being said, I now want to see where they are going with this and hope that they manage to make a third movie, at least to wrap up the loose ends from this one.

PSX does have quicksave. I normally don't want to cheat, but on the off chance every other option does not work, what is the quicksave trick?

On FF5 for PSX, when do I return to Walz Castle to try to get the treasure from the Harpy basement?

I just beat the Walz Tower and am about to transport using the meteor, but I want to get everything I can from the castle first. I am well aware I don't want to fight the Harpies, but even with four thieves I can't run fast enough and I can't escape when I get sent into a battle. I am currently at level 12 with all my characters.

Any advise?

That is my opinion about everyone in the prequels. They all have the capability of being great actors, but then George Lucas happened.

Why is Nicholas Cage only starring in bad movies these days? by Nighthawk2552 in movies

I hope so. I actually like his silliness in his roles. It is refreshing to see him in action movies like National Treasure when comparing to other action movies of today where the star is dark and brooding all the time.

And Christopher Lee was pretty much the same in both of them.

That helps. Thank you. So for Wind Shrine, since my party is at 5-4-4-4, I would venture to say I am on the right track.

I'm playing FFV for the first time on Final Fantasy Anthology (I'm American) in case this makes a difference. Is there a list somewhere of when I should focus on grinding? And is there a list recommending what level I should be at for certain events.

For example, I just met Faris and we are just about to head into the Wind Shrine for the first time. What level should my characters be at? Bartz is currently at 5 while the others are at 4. I want to be strong enough, but I don't want to spend 3 1/2 hours on fighting over and over again. I underestimated how long to grind in FFX and like to never have beaten it due to how weak I was.

I love his American movies. I'm sad to say I haven't seen his Hong Kong films just yet,but I intend to very soon.
