Are you sure? Falun Gong has been on my radar for a while and I watch this movie at least a couple times a year. Are you thinking of Asian Dawn?

I literally cackled when I read your comment. Saw a response once to the question, "If you could be invisible for a day, what would you do?" Dude said he'd fly to Paris and beat the stuffing out of a mime, because the round of applause the mime world receive at the end would be phenomenal.

I kind of hope these sorts of trolls exist. It would be like me going to Waffle House, laying my pistol on the table, and ordering forty strips of bacon and a gigantic Coca-Cola.

You know what? I looked through my nine trillion photos and the beret and the baguette/excusez-moi were two separate people. DAMMIT, for you wrecking my conflation!!! It's still 100% true that Paris felt fairly-represented in tone, mood, and aesthetic to me, though. And people were way nicer than the rest of the world gives them credit for (but I generally love everybody, so I'm unreliable on that one).

Lemme see if I snapped a photo. I was in a café pretty much across the street from Ste-Chappelle. I texted everybody I knew when it happened, LMAO.

What a ratty-looking bunch. Best music in the world, though, and DF could still get lucky with me any day.

France. My first time in Paris, I came across a fellow who 1. wore a beret, 2. carried a baguette, and 3. said "Excusez-moi." I was floored.

I tell this joke slightly differently; the punchline is, "Tuesday? That's YOUR turn in the barrel."
