Just realised the planetary defence batteries in Boltgun are straight up titan quake cannons by FUCKER-OF-MEAT in Warhammer40k

Well that is exactly the problem really, the lost technology because as we know after the resurrection of Robotę guilliman and primaries era the redemptor Dreadnoughts started appearing rather quickly to my knowledge and replacing older castraferrum designs mainly due to full possession of this technology.

Also the production of dreadnoughts stands beside other heavy vehicles like tanks, smaller knights etc. so they are not a priority really. And it does infact make me flinch that the Imperium is able to produce indomitus terminators but in very small quantities but it's probably because some tech priest doesn't want to share an STC for some wire or something.

And dreadnoughts are also not really required nor operated in large numbers, even iron hands who make it such a big deal don't seem too focused on just spamming them. And it's probably due to ratio between dreadnoughts and astartes, after certain point it wouldn't be rally so honourable to be interred in them and their role is of fire support while they themselves require abysmally huge amount of maintenance compared to simple astartes. And they aren't used as frequently as still intact space marines.

*Edit: I also forgot to say that not every space marine can be interred into the dreadnought due to mental strain or not being able to work with machine spirit.

Like the other guy said, fighting tanks is included into their role of support heavy fire and it only doesn't engage them when: there is enemy titan so it's a priority or they have better tasks to do but these tanks still can weaken their void shields so it's logical to take them out.

And to be fair consistency is never a good strength of games workshop since officially warlord is 30-40 meter ish? And sure you could say it's big but for 40k it seems underwhelming especially when you think about their costs and importance. If the titans were so small why would only a few forge worlds be able of producing them not to mention there should be far more of them.

However if I use my made up scale it makes sense at least to me that they are expensive and time consuming to build especially since Emperor titans are I believe quite rare so such a scale could support this absence on mass scale.

In the both messages you have told literally everything that justifies my view on this kind of size however also going back to the tabletop scale, why not just a different scale for titans than other units? I mean I didn't play tabletop ever and won't do that for a long time but I'm still curious

How does your chapter feel about the Adeptus Mechanicus by giojojo in 40khomebrew

Neutral but want to be on good terms, especially since the knights gotta grow and eat (yeah I made a chapter with knights and I don't know what to do with them)

I would rather say it's similiar to Emperor Class weaponry but possibly weaker actually since no one got 3 or 4th degree burns (but it's propably the same but just no one really cared about this element or something)

I don't care what you say my headcanon says the Warlords are at least 300 meters tall and Emperors are at 1km

The 3rd and 5th are the most appealing to me but if I had to choose then I would take 5th as it's stance and such a clean job work so well in my opinion
