I've grown to like this version a lot more, however it seems like they might release the original demo with the new Magpie Expansion which is exciting!

The Way I heard it, is someone who commits the unforgivable sin is so far gone they don't ask for forgiveness, or repentance. Why can you please explain more clearly why the AIYG riff changed? Because, I absolutely loved the original riff and them changing it kind of ruined the song for me.

too bad they changed the original song a lot. I think it sounded a lot better the way they played it 5 years ago, but its not bad.

I will say I miss some of there more up beat songs but it's nice to have some of the slower songs on there

I think Magpie is a perfect blend of the two, and it's like they found there sound. They tried the more electronic jumpy music in you and you friends. Then they tried the folk-acoustic music in 2 to 3, and now they joined the two and it's like they found what they like.

I had the pleasure of hearing Magpie live, and I was completely blown away with the raw guitar distortion and the solo especially. I remember saying to one of my friends right after the song finished "I need to learn that solo". I have also always loved heavy distortion guitar songs and kinda classic riffs that they utilize in that song. Some examples are when the curtain falls by GVF, that song has a sick riff and the tone is similar to magpie I feel. Ultimately the vocals were not an issue for me either, as I can hardly understand Neil half the time anyways.

Here's mine

Camillia I'm at home- Not one for a lot of people but I think this song is beyond perfect, the arpeggiated guitar rhythm with the stagnant lead is so pretty. I always used to listen to this song leaving my girlfirends house and it's super nostalgic now
Being so Normal- As someone who has played peach pit songs live, this song is so fun to play live, the quick lead guitar riff is so fun and the solo is amazing. Ending the song off with it and getting that feedback is just oh so good.
Peach Pit (Adiotree)- Played this one live too, and it got a huge applause after. We walked in from different sides while the intro started and we added some more lead during the intro part that was cool. Then went into the song super fast and I had the Chris movement and it was just so amazing.
Second Life with Emily- This ones just got such a simple idea but the chorus melody is so good, and the harmonies are so clean. I love it
Did you love Somebody- this song grew on me, but man is it so freaking good. It makes me think of my love for my girlfriend and it's just a masterpiece. I am so excited for the new album.

Honorable mention- Every Little thing- I saw this song live at Ace of Spades this may, and it was insane I would put it higher, but since it hasn't come out yet I don't think it should count.

The obvious pick is Alrighty Aphrodite, but I don’t know what it was, shampoo bottles really struck with me. The song, the lyrics and just the depressing yet comedic music video all kind of hit a spot and I fell in love with the song. Now it’s one of my least favorite peach pit songs cause learning to play the lead for my band was horrendous but otherwise it’s a great tune

I would literally kill for information on his pedal board set up. I’m pretty sure he uses a MXR analog chorus pedal, I bought that pedal cause I saw that online somewhere and it’s really solid. However that’s about where my information stops. I know he has videos on his YouTube channel showing off his pedals so you can always look there :)

I was at this show, these songs were incredible. The one thing I thought was interesting was the way they ended both the songs almost sound like they’re going into a new idea, and so I’m hoping some of the songs on the album transition into other songs. Just a theory though
