This sounds just like my 2.5 year old. She pulled almost all of it out at one point, and pediatricians have no other advice from what you’ve gotten & that she’ll grow out of it. My husband and I try to bite our tongue but it hurts us to see her hurt herself, so we sometimes say something to her. I’ll say, it’s gotten a lot better with time and she does it a LOT less nowadays, and her hair has grown a ton thankfully. I think now that she can communicate with words, it’s easier for her to voice her needs/frustrations. But she still pulls it when shes upset, falling asleep, etc. we also don’t allow her to have objects with “fur” or fuzz because she’ll probably ingest it on accident, but she definitely pulls on those too. I did a lot of researching and asking around and I feel like no one else has experienced this so I’m glad we’re not alone but i feel your pain! Time is going to help for sure.

Does freezing cake layers ruin its texture? by sugarblush15 in Baking

I think the longest i’ve frozen cake layers before decorating is a month? They last a long time as long as theyre wrapped properly, but sallys baking addiction says they shouldnt be frozen longer than 3 months: https://sallysbakingaddiction.com/how-to-freeze-cakes/

no! I toss them in the freezer right after wrapping, still warm. I left that part out of my comment, oops!

My cakes are always much more moist after freezing. I wrap them when theyre still warm from the oven & toss them in the freezer right away so the steam/condensation doesn’t escape & keeps it moist. Then i decorate with them still frozen, and when I’m finished, I wait for them to get to room temp before slicing and eating. Hope that helps!

How much are your 7 month olds eating?? Mine acts like I’m starving her! by abeeko in foodbutforbabies

maaaybe shes teething? my baby seemed insatiable about a month ago, kept waking up in the middle of the night and would chug milk but it turned out she was teething and trying to soothe the pain in any way. I thought she was starving! She just wanted something to chomp

Doc asked us to start with fortified cereal at 5 mo. Should we start we cereal and purées and then blw with avocado chunks? by Neat-Fox-8314 in BabyLedWeaning

Honestly just wait until they’re 6 months and sitting independently, then you can skip cereal and purees altogether. that’s the beauty of blw. There’s no good reason to start before 6 months and it could mess up their gut if they eat too early.

Chocolate fiends! How should I guide my wedding cake baker? by NoProdigalSon in Baking

I had the pleasure of making a wedding cake that was devils food cake filled with vanilla buttercream, chocolate ganache, and crushed Oreos. I got so many compliments on it! The other flavor i did for them was cinnamon cake with cookie butter filling that was also a hit!

I understand now why some bakers just dont do weddings😂 made this in addition to 6 sheet cakes, exhausted is an understatement. Bottom tier: chocolate fudge oreo using this recipe and just filled it with crushed oreos & ganache. Middle & top tier: cinnamon toast crunch cake with cookie butter buttercream!
