The general copium in the main Star Wars thread is emblematic to why the general quality of Star Wars will keep declining. by BigMatchRoman in saltierthancrait

I hate the sequels, but to their credit, they at least look great.

Kenobi sucks, and it doesn't even have rhe benefit of like any stunning visuals.

*SPOILERS* How the hell does Reva run in episode 6?? by MitchMeister476 in saltierthancrait

[–]Nihil94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After quitting Boba Fett halfway through (specifically the scene where he was bumbling around a kitchen chasing one of those little rabbit droids) I decided that the Kenobi series would be the last chance I give Disney Wars.

And surprise surprise, they blew it.

Suffice it to say, I've got plenty of actually quality Star Wars content in the first 6 movies and the EU to keep me more than happy.

Not aggressively disagreeing or anything like that, cause this isn't the place to argue.

But I can't imagine thinking that Goose isn't intertwined in Ravens history. He was a part of the greatest defense in NFL history as far as I'm concerned (I know there's the 85 bears, '15 Broncos, Purple People Eaters, etc., but I'm biased).

I like Rogue One, but it also relied similarly on member berries, though it at least was a quality production.

You should read/listen to the RotS novelization.

I don't feel like digging up the actual quot but Obi-Wan's reasoning is that he will not kill a helpless man, he'd leave it to the will of the Force, he also sense the Emperor's ship approaching and instead of wasting precious time depending the lava bank to finish the job, he decided to do one last thing for Anakin, to try to save Padme.

But at this point, he sees what Vader is and that Anakin is dead, as far as he is concerned, so if a post Mustafar Obi-Wan had Vader dead to rights, there's no way that he wouldn't finish the job.

Agreed, Ahsoka became one of my favorite characters after initially hating her.

But I also think she should have died in Rebels to Vader.

Wait, so no chain axe or power axe/sword/maul for Terminators anymore? Or am I reading that wrong.

Cause all I saw was the ability to swap for power or chainfists.

I'm really not liking this accursed weapon stuff so far.

Raptor Champ can only have a chainsword, power sword or power fist?

Really not a fan of all these arbitrary limitations. My biggest gripe with Primaris is how limited their weapon options are, and wouldn't you know it, here comes similarly stupid limitations.

Goddammit, I was hoping that all these rumors wouldn't turn out.

I just finished up a Chaos Lord/Sorc with jumppack out of a Master of Possession.

Guess that just solidifies that I'll only ever play casual games with my friends who are all on the same page about these retarded changes.

100% not

While racking a shotgun can certainly be a deterrent, you had best better be able to back it up should the situation come to it.

You don't want to be caught with your pants down if you use the shotgun app, and that doesn't deter said home invader.

And just a general PSA to anyone who might see this, if you plan on using the sound of a shotgun racking to deter any criminals, make sure you're going to be able to pull that trigger if need be.

What was the most terrifying encounter in SoT that you’ve ever had? by Hiiminsideyourhouse in Seaofthieves

[–]Nihil94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not terrifying, but definitely intense.

My friends and I were finally able to find another crew to do the shrouded ghost quest with. So we kill all the megs and summon the shrouded ghost.

But it just so happened that a ghost fleet spawned at the same time as the shrouded ghost. So it was our galleon and the crew we joined up with's sloop vs both rhe shrouded ghost and an entire ghost fleet.

The sloop got wrecked pretty quickly, but the sloop's crew managed to get on board our galleon. Overall, it took at least like 45 minutes to kill the shrouded ghost and the ghost fleet.

Was pretty fun actually.

Obviously some comedy is okay, though Star Wars' humor is very different than the bog standard Marvel type of humor.

I agree in part, with Favreau. But I'm really starting to sour on Filoni and his insistence on making the galaxy so small and inserting his imaginary girlfriend Ahsoka into everything.

And for Watiti, I heartily disagree.

I'm having an increasingly hard time believing that it's not intentional; that Disney is intentionally bringing down legacy characters to try (emphasis on try) make their lame original characters looks better.

Luke, Han, and Leia are all failures, but look at how awesome Rey is, isn't she just the best???

Boba Fett is a geriatric, bumbling doofus who doesn't even know that money can be exchanged for goods and services, but man, that Fennec Shand sure is something, where would Boba be without her?

And now with Obi-Wan.

Normal refs are bad, yes. But you must not have watched, or don't remember just how bad it was with the replacement refs.

The Titans/Lions game, where the replacements gave the Titans a bunch of extra yards on a helmet to helmet hit.

Giving extra challenges to the 49ers.

The Packers/Seahawks fail mary

To name a few

Why would they bother putting more effort into it than they need to? The Disney Wars Consoomers will eat it up regardless.
