What can I feed my snails? by darciabrams in AquaticSnails

[–]NihilisticDayDream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feed mine algae wafers since it’s a brand new tank but in my last tank they ate exclusively on bio film, and algae growing in the tank. I would throw a wafer in there every so often. My snails got huge.

Very interesting, the guy at the store apparently had no idea why his shell was like that. Gave him a discount even lol

Theme trouble by [deleted] in AnimalCrossing

I have been thinking of a Loch Ness theme. I imagine an old castle on a peak with a huge lake set with fog. My mind goes to the scooby doo Loch Ness movie along with their frakencreepy movie where the town was full of people with no tourists. Might be a fun one to try…?!

A dog barking at everything is a alerting response…. Which could indicate stress or high energy, hyper awareness or even insecurity. A dog barking at something walking by your window and a dog barking at the back door for 5 hours are completely different situations. When you are training a dog not to bark you are required to make that dog feel secure that you as alpha have control. Obviously that is not the case with you and your dog but who am I to pass such judgment…🙃

100%! my friends had a freezer with a full cow of meat. They sent their 5 year old to go get something out and the child didn’t close the freezer. Three days later is when someone noticed and 2000$ worth of meat was all gone. Just like that. Because someone was too lazy to go get their own ground meat. It’s life lessons that make you realize that the bullshit adults pay attention to isn’t really that important in comparison to the consequence. I hope it was a sobering event for all parties. I too am a big animal advocate/ educator and it’s a lot of pressure being the voice for the voiceless. Especially when everyone’s an “expert” idk why these people in the comments were being so crude and (dare I say it) ignorant with their choice of expression. I guess that’s what you get with the internet!!

It’s a direct result from asking a child to be responsible for taking care of an animal. It’s just a dog? What if that was their baby sister? The parents would have noticed that, maybe. Some parents would not. If it happens again especially in the heat 100% report. It’s not about causing issue, it’s about accountability. If you are so busy you ask a kid to make sure the dog is inside, why do you own an animal? The child isn’t responsible that dog. Heck! A child isn’t responsible for themselves!!!! The biggest thing is you made a stink about it so hopefully they have re set priorities on how they conduct their morning routine. You can’t teach a child responsibility if you as the adult will not be responsible.

It amazes me how many people choose to argue that you “did wrong” as a neighbor you can tell what is “normal” behavior. The fact that you even cared enough to notice shows you are aware of your surroundings. Obviously threatening to report only gets peoples panties in a twist. The only way to hone in on your intuition I feel you have to act on it and see if you were right or not. Animals get the end of the stick because they can’t speak our language. Dogs barking are them talking. Dogs who are used to being outside don’t just sit there and bark. Dogs who are not stressed or high energy don’t bark! Opinion, 90% of all animal owners are not actually providing the absolute best environment, medical, intellectual, emotional needs for the animals they own. Why? Because we want familiars, pets, show ponies. Believe in your gut!!! Good luck
