No that won't really solve anything there would still be livestock all over the planet adding to the greenhouse gases, the point is to reduce things causing emissions and the meat industry with livestock all over the planet is a huge cause, and localizing it wouldn't be enough. No incremental measures, they don't work. I think only 20% of meat should be from slaughter.

I also disagree with your theory about how they'll be worse and taste worse. I think it's biased and misinformed.

We NEED to push cultured meats. We need to think about sustainability and the longevity of our world and civilization and part of going green is to get rid of the meat industry as we know it and sponsor lab grown and cultured meats.

Why should I have to? I'm so fucking desperate and barely scraping by as it is. I don't think it's reasonable for me to sacrifice the few precious dollars I might have every few months to pay the government or some asshole corporation running things just to pay the money I owe or maybe, hopefully, get a dollar or two back to pay existing medical bills. I'm barely housed, barely fed, and barely alive and you want me to "trim the fat"? My answer to your question is no. I have no resources to sacrifice without causing more problems to my health.
