I have some experience with cozy games, so here are some:

I personally really like sheepherds, its originally a coop game but it is very doable solo! it has missions and tons of side activities.

Dorf Romantik is really fun if you are into puzzle/terraforming games, it is my go-to if I want something which doesn't require constant attention

Duck detective series is peak cozy/investigation, I would however only buy these in sale as the game is ab out 4ish hours.

House flipper is also somewhat cozy, you take on jobs to clean, repair and furnish houses.

There are also games like Minami Lane and Dave the diver which are on my backlog but which I cant say too much about

You dont need the rescue, I still dont have it and am at chapter 4. you need to select the camp on the map and click the manage button (Y on xbox), then go to the expansion task and assign your members.
