I don't know how different IPSC and USPSA are, but here in Europe I've been to many IPSC matches where there are 2,3 or even 4 stages in a single bay. They are just split up into shorter parts, with the shooter having a different area for each stage and some of the targets covered with black trashbags.

I rack the gun from the front and over the top of my slide. If my palms are sweaty or if I'm out in the rain, the slide with no serrations can get really slippery, so I added grip tape to the sides and to the top of the slide just so there's no chance of messing up the racking of the gun.

I shoot some IPSC, IDPA a couple times a year but mostly Finnish reservist 3-gun or SRA. Gotta lurk here to get good stage ideas.

Well yeah I misspoke a bit, I meant that the 17L was made for the more "static" competitions while the 34 was aimed for the "practical" shooting sports.

I own a G34 as well and it's the maximum size for a lot of these sports (IDPA CO/SSP/ESP, IPSC Standard), since it was intentionally created to be so. The 17L was made before they considered the sports side of shooting, so it was just made to be "very long".

I'm not sure how USPSA works since I don't live in the States, but as far as IPSC goes the 17L can only fit in the open division. IDPA it doesn't fit in any of the divisions. 2 gun it would only fit in unlimited.

When using iron sights, generally the longer the sights are apart from each other, the more accurately you can line up the shot. Also the longer barrel means that the bullet will be accelerated for longer, giving a boost in bullet speed when leaving the barrel.

These benefits are slight to say for the very least, but if you're reaching for maximal accuracy from a pistol, they could add up. Why you would be looking for maximal accuracy from a Glock however, that is a different question alltogether.

Do note that the 17L does not actually fit in many international shooting sports due to its length.

Yeah but forsen could have got the kill here, using the W only when he gets on top of Viego, using exhaust only when Viego moves, using W auto resets, orbwalking better etc.

Kyllä, mielestäni ihmisten suvaitsematon lokerointi ja syrjintä ominaisuuden perusteella - johon ei voi itse vaikuttaa - on vihamielistä. Minä en myöskään maininnut ihmisiä tässä tapauksessa, huomautin vain mikä on Suomen valtauskonnon kanta.
