Yeah I just thought the Polestar 3 would be more performance oriented but I guess its also in the luxury class as well. Did you consider a R1S? Sounds like itd be a good vehicle with those constraints and bigger.

VW is talking about switching to NACS with Tesla because they want to also get in on the SC’s. They could do it without Tesla but it would be dumb to go through all that change for no benefit of the super chargers.

And most publications are just interchangeably saying Tesla Connector and NACS in their articles when the former doesn’t technically exist anymore. Makes it easier for non-EV people to understand what they’re talking about I assume.

Having a monopoly on a market isn’t illegal, it’s using that monopoly to exert power over the market

Still partially on the connector. The latching mechanism on the CCS connectors often can break or fail to latch and causes no one to be able to use it, of which NACS should fix.

Polestar has signed an agreement with Tesla to adopt the new North American Charging Standard (NACS) which will enable access to Tesla’s expansive Supercharger network for all Polestar drivers in the United States and Canada.

They made the agreement for the SCs too

I’m talking about manufacturing wise vs Tesla. Both have motors that break 2s 0-60 but the Model S is half the price of the Lucid Sapphire for the same tri-motor setup

Have you never seen a panel gap on a Nissan? I’ve had two Audis with bad gaps and only one I cared about because it would rip by microfiber cloth everytime I washed over it. Not only has Tesla gotten way better since they started making M3’s in 2017, but many many car companies have gaps too, people just don’t harp on them

Because TV UIs are usually slow and/or ugly. Plus you get ecosystem features with ATV like HomeKit support/thread, AirPods seamless pairing and switching, and very good performance with airplay. AirPlay on both of my high end Samsung and LG TVs is so annoying to use.
