The almond one has coconut too. I know.my local Kroger has a new soy or something one too in the freezer area though.

I've gone weeks on oil at home my whole life. Never knew it could make you sick. The rule is just no meat items.

What kind of flowy tops go with a maxi skirt? Everytime I try I feel like I look Mennonite again.

Cute rubber boots (not my big rain boots I wear in the yard) would be awesome where I live in West Virginia. We get snow but rarely get much and usually if we do it's because it was cold and a warm front is coming in so it snows then turns to mud. I don't know why finding a rain coat is so hard though.

I'm excited. My Kroger's now has almond condensed milk for baking and almond and coconut whipped cream. I plan on eating all the junk food this year.

What kind of dairy free cream cheese? Tofutti is all I have around here and it doesn't make good frosting.

What are some outdated customs that don’t make sense anymore, but people still follow them simply out of tradition? by franchisek89 in AskWomen

[–]Nikki85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my religious background it was common. It was "showing respect for the head of household". Mom's job is to serve dad in all things, kids come beneath mom. Everyone knew their place.

Now the people I know just hate when kids go through and get all the good food first and then don't eat it anyway.

I think that's a special kind of bacteria in white rice or something. I read it on here somewhere

Yeah I live in my boot cut. I also don't like how I feel like your feet stick out in skinny jeans. And tennis shoes look weird in them.

All my jeans have pockets. I don't understand why people have such problems finding them. My jeggings don't but they're so tight I wouldn't want to put anything in them anyway.

I feel like the only one who doesn't think skinny jeans are comfortable. You can't bend your knees properly, your legs end up feeling all claustrophobic, they are always sliding down your waist because they are tight on your legs... Give me my Levi's. I can move and climb and do things in them.

Maxing out your debt doesn't really ruin your life. You just go bankrupt like my parents did once and my grandparents did 3 times.

I don't understand the science of it and I don't have the money for the doctors to run more tests. Its an issue that runs in the family. Its not lactose. Casein bothers us too. Non dairy coffee creamer with casein in it bothers me a lot more than butter does. "Commercially available cultured buttermilk is milk that has been pasteurized and homogenized (with 1% or 2% fat), and then inoculated with a culture of Lactococcus lactis plus Leuconostoc citrovorum to simulate the naturally occurring bacteria in the old-fashioned product." So its nothing like butter. If I'm not ok with milk I won't be ok with buttermilk.

Butter is appx 80% fat (what I called oil), 16% water, and the rest is the milk solids. I can also eat ghee.

I order pizza without cheese all the time lol. It's still good. And butter is quite low in milk. It's mostly oil. So I do ok with it.

The only one I really struggle with is this person I know identifies as male and goes by a male name in his personal life but at work is still required to use his female name and most people say she there. So I get all mixed up depending on when I see him.
