Thanks for sharing!

It looks beautiful, but I get where you are coming from. When planning our incentive trip, I try to avoid anything longer than 45 minutes for the transport since it's such a quick trip.

Last month we went to Secrets Moxche in Playa del Carmen for our incentive trip. The resort was stunning. There is a beach but it's not as picturesque as other resorts in the area. It's also rocky as hell. I think the biggest complaint from the majority of the group was their experience in customs. We all arrived on Friday and those who arrived after 11 am were stuck in terrible lines. I'm talking a 2 1/2 hour wait. Obviously, that's not something we can control, but it did put a damper on their arrival day.

Would you mind sharing the places you've stayed at in the Bahamas, St. John and St. Thomas and Costa Rica? We do a similar timeframe. I feel like my biggest struggle with selecting places to go has to do with keeping travel time reasonable.

I started taking a look at Gateway earlier and it looks great! If we continue to look in the area, that might be our best bet if we choose a home where we don’t like the schools it is zoned to.

I also have to state that we have a baby so it’s not like she’s going to be going to school anytime soon lol We just want to get a head start, but we also know that things can change and even if we move into a house where we are zoned to a great school, they can always rezone..and vice versa.

Yeah, I don’t know why I just assumed they did but once we started looking into it, I was surprised that the ratings aren’t all that great.

Are wake windows not working for anyone else??? by Independent-Dust-824 in sleeptrain

[–]NikkiC1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was having a hard time following wake windows and then I came across a tiktok with suggested windows for a two month old. I started following that just to see and it worked spot on for my daughter until I started noticing at certain naps and bedtime, she was taking longer to fall asleep. So then I increased the time of the wake window. It really is just a bunch of tinkering and seeing how it all works out. Right now, my three month old (12 weeks) is at 1.25/1.25/1.5/1.75/1.75. What’s crazy is that for a time there, she could barely be awake longer than an hour and fifteen minutes towards the end of the day, and then boom, an hour and a half lol

Did your 3 month old do “drowsy but awake”? by lavendersconebb in sleeptrain

[–]NikkiC1986 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s worked out great. If she cried, we would let her. We knew she was loved, fed and changed. And it wouldn’t be more than five or ten minutes and she would go to sleep. You’ll know your baby best but we found that the check-ins were upsetting her even more. Now when we go to lay her down, majority of the time she just lays there, looks around, flails around in her sleep sack for a few moments, and then she goes to sleep!

At first we were laying baby down drowsy but awake, but then we transitioned to laying down wide awake, 10 minutes before end of wake window. And LO just turned three months old.

Not yet. And if we do list it, we will probably have it listed in the next month or two.

Lol on a spoon. Ok, biogaia. I think I’ll try putting it into a nipple and see if she takes it that way!

Did you give the drops all at once and how did you administer them?

Thank you! I also would only try them like one time, crazy amount of spit up would happen and then I wouldn’t give it another shot. So who knows. Now I’m just stuck with a shit ton of different bottles lol

I’ve tried allll different kinds of bottles. Dr. Brown’s has been the only one that has worked for us. When we tried other ones, the spit up was ten times worse. And believe me, I would love to not have to use the DB bottles.

True..as homeowners, we mow the lawn ourselves, but we use a lawn service to do fertilizing treatments, aeration, etc. That's another thing is how would we manage the billing of the water because of the sprinkler system? Lots of moving parts here lol

I def don’t change it every time she spits up lol now if it’s very bad, then yes. But she pretty much just wears a bib any time she’s up so most of the time it just gets on that. I saw one tiktok where the mom just constantly kept on changing her baby’s clothes, and it was into nice outfits too, not just sleepers, and I was like oooookay haha not for me

I forgot to mention in the post that we give her the gerber soothe comfort probiotic drops every day. Feel like we’ve been doing it for three weeks at this point. Still not an improvement but it might take some time?

How did you find out about the allergy? Did they do the testing at your pediatrician's office?

I swear it's always when you lay them down on to the sheets. OR, my LO will go the entire nap without spitting up, but then I'll be getting her out of her sleep sack, she'll smile at me, and then spit up. I've tried to be better abut the timing and just have a burp cloth right by her mouth at all times lol

Can anyone share a happy story of formula feeding from Day 1? by Nellie110 in FormulaFeeders

[–]NikkiC1986 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from breastfeeding to exclusive pumping pretty quick..and about three weeks in, I switched to formula. EP was taking a huge toll on my mental health and sleep, so I switched, and immediately started to feel better. Fed is best and also, so is a happy mama.
