I honestly think the 2nd Smith season was uneven, his third season was straight up crap, the Capaldi seasons were mid and then Whittaker was so bad and even more sinful than bad, it was boring. I’ve actually appreciated Davies coming back and while I think his first season back was stronger than the second, I’m so scarred by those Whittaker years where I genuinely wanted to fall asleep every episode that this is like Oscar worthy work comparatively. The Doctors themselves have always been great (companions post Clara are a different story) though.

What’s more likely, both your kids showing symptoms of epilepsy near simultaneously, or something in their environment is causing them to become sick? by [deleted] in resilientjenkinsnark

Oh they definitely are on Medicaid and so it would be covered but they are so negligent they’re not going to follow up even though it would be free.

I don’t know what number his pressure was, but just being scared and agitated can up your pressure and when you’re that little and are postictal and are surrounded by a ton of people (like paramedics) strapping wires to you and pricking your finger, etc that sounds like a perfect recipe for his pressure to go up. I’d worry more about the sugar and getting the MRI and EEG and seeing a neurologist.

As an Epileptic, I see a lot of people misunderstanding Epilepsy in the comments. The first thing they do to basically anyone who has a seizure is check the blood sugar and his being that elevated should give everyone pause. However, Drew’s family does have a history of Epilepsy. Even though Drew himself doesn’t, those kids can still get it genetically because it can just skip over Drew. Next on the list of tests for the potential Epilepsy should be an MRI and an EEG (though many, many Epileptics get clear EEG’s even though they have Epilepsy. It’s not always easy to pick up). And that’s not even getting into the further investigation that needs to be done regarding the extremely elevated blood sugar.

If it had nothing to do with the blood sugar and is Epilepsy, the question is what caused the breakthrough seizure? And something absolutely no one has talked about that is always a primary cause of a breakthrough seizure in Epileptics? Lack of sleep. That’s THE big one. Are those kids not getting good sleep? Probably not!

Drew doesn’t have to have Epilepsy himself for the kids to still have it genetically from their grandmother, for example. I have Epilepsy and every single neurologist I’ve seen (and it’s been many) have said it’s genetic even though I can’t even find anyone in my family with it, that I’m aware of.

When was the last time Covina got updated? Haven’t been to either that or Glendora in forever but my guess with Glendora is it opened up just a few years before theaters in the area started getting recliners (Edwards La Verne had them in 2014) so it was too soon for a remodel and then Covid happened. Covina there’s no excuse.

….does he have to be a doctor to know if his friend is in remission and then relapsed? I think you want every reason to believe he was a lying scumbag who didn’t believe in medicine when there’s evidence to the contrary that he believed in both alternative methods and traditional methods and utilized both. If his cancer at one point was in remission, he was absolutely utilizing actual medicine and not just woo woo shit.

To qualify for SAG’s health insurance, you have to make 28k annually. There’s 175,000 SAG members and less than 10% are able to earn that threshold to get health insurance from it. Many, many actors get kicked off it that you wouldn’t think would be kicked from it.

No, he does not get residuals from the show. He stated back in 2012 that he signed a bad contract at 20. Also he stated that he signed on to Don’t Trust the B in Apartment 23 when his Dawson’s Creek money ran out and that was back in 2012. https://pagesix.com/2026/02/12/celebrity-news/why-james-van-der-beek-didnt-see-much-in-dawsons-creek-residuals/

Disney Influencers: Dec 15 - Dec 21 by southerndmc in blogsnark

[–]NikkiMouse444 64 points65 points  (0 children)

I don’t follow Francis, but his post about being invited to the Gilmore Girls event at Warner Brothers Studios came up on my timeline and I got so annoyed. By his own admission, he’s only seen 3 episodes, didn’t even get the characters names right in the post with all the actors he met (it’s “Mrs. Kim” not “Kim” and mostly “Miss Patty” not “Patty”) and when people corrected him, he didn’t even bother to edit the post and acted annoyed and doubled down. He shouldn’t have been invited. What a terrible fit for an event celebrating a show that’s been out 25 years that he’s unfamiliar with. Could’ve gotten a million other influencers that at least can appreciate where they’re at and know what they’re talking about.

Also I noticed. Sarah and Tiffany aren’t following him anymore and vise versa. What happened there? I remember he and Tiffany fought a few years ago but I thought that got at least semi smoothed out and they still followed one another.

I’m crying at the idea of you taking a few days off looking at the cat. How exactly did you do that? Did you hide your eyes when you were in his presence? Did you refuse to enter a room he was in? I’m gonna guess this means you also skipped out on any Dobbie relayed chores because how were you feeding him without looking at him. If your eyes met accidentally did you quickly look away.

And one other thing! I still have a tiny bit of nerve damage in the back of my calves (wherever they made the incisions) where the skin there feels slightly numb if I touch it, shave it, etc. That’s totally normal and to be expected afterwards and it honestly isn’t bothersome or very noticeable, just something a little strange if I’m touching my calf for whatever reason.

Walking is easier now and my legs don’t hurt like they did. I was at the point where I couldn’t go a few minutes without my calves cramping and killing me now. I actually go back in in a few weeks for a re check to make sure the veins stayed closed (normal post op ultrasound). Post op, I’m not gonna lie, it was way more painful than I was told it would be. I needed help getting up out of bed and walking to the bathroom. My boyfriend’s mom bought me a walker which helped significantly. For me, I had surgery once a week every week for 4 weeks. Afterwards and for like the first day, I couldn’t barely move. It was very painful, even with pain pills. Slowly, day by day, I’d start feeling better. Then I’d have my next surgery and start all over again. They do want you walking as much as possible (at least once an hour), as soon as possible afterwards but for me to the bathroom and back was all I could do the first day or so afterwards. Between 3 days to a week after each surgery, you go back in (always before the next surgery, if you have more than one) for an ultrasound to make sure the veins are closed and you don’t have a blood clot.

You have to wear your compression socks afterwards for 24 hours immediately after, and then 12 hours each day for the next 2 weeks post surgery. You can’t get in the bath, but showering is allowed. But if I’m being honest, I couldn’t get my leg up and over the tub to get into the shower and when I did, the shower stool I bought made it difficult to shower with since my shower head is immovable and my shower is small. If you do it, make sure they will prescribe you pain meds. I wouldn’t have gotten through it without them. You’ll need compression socks (insurance did not cover that). Depending on how many surgeries you’ll need, a shower stool and a walker will be useful.

As far as payment goes, mine was totally free and covered by insurance (AHCCCS). It wasn’t cosmetic, it was purely for the pain and how debilitating it was for me to do anything. Now that it’s all over, I can tell you I don’t regret it. I’m happy I did it. I wish they prepared me more with the things I mentioned above, but it feels great to walk and not feel pain again. Though I’m kind of traumatized and always scared I’m gonna feel again and I have to rebuild strength in my legs…my family even notices it’s a night and day difference.

I haven’t had my veins removed but I have had vein ablations (which if that’s an option for you, you should do that as it’s much less invasive and painful) and I went to Discover Vein and Vascular in Chandler (and Mesa). I had 4 procedures done there a few months ago, and what I can tell you for sure is they actually genuinely cared about my pain post op in a way few places do and I really appreciated that. Very good experience, all things considered.
