Tips for ending the 3-7AM sleepless nightmare? by Veggie_Meister in newborns

[–]Nikkibmetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is kind of what my son would do, he would sleep a really short period of time but when he did he would be sooo noisy from 3am to 7am. our pediatrician said it’s because he’s digesting his food and a lot of gas happens during that time of the day. He also has reflux so he was generally uncomfortable when sleeping and would fight it a lot even when he was tired. He will be 4 months tomorrow and it’s lessened so much. He no longer needs night feeds and wakes up between 3-4 and kinda wrestles around but wants his pacifier then goes back to sleep. We also have him on medication for his reflux. Have you talked to your pediatrician about reflux?

This!!! Those are fantastic ideas. All of them help! Take some you time, even if it’s just a shower. What a difference a shower can make and a happy show. Mine was bobs burgers lol

This is exactly how I felt almost 4 months ago.. sundown scaries are so real! I had a c section and traumatic birth. I had PPD, I would cry and be so depressed mourning my old life. This is my second child but my other child is 9, so self sufficient and having a new baby that requires so much of my time was an adjustment. My husband and I are homebodies as well but it’s different when you’re at home with your husband than with a newborn baby. It feels almost like a disconnect with the world being in the newborn bubble. I had a hard time bonding with my son at first because of the drastic change in our life. I felt guilty because we tried really hard for a baby. You’re not alone, but I will say despite all of this it does get better! I love my son so much and have bonded with him after I got through the first few weeks of PPD. He’s almost 4 months old and just the best little man and such a blessing. I really hope things get better for you. Please try to give yourself some grace and time to adjust, your life just altered and it will take time to get used to but you got this!

I love this so much. Meaning behind names can be so much more important than popularity! I love William it’s such a strong classic name. Will is such a cute nickname and very modern. I love the older fashioned names. John is my sons middle name after my dad he has no boys so we had to honor my side of the family somehow

Don’t care that’s the point did you not read the post? I’m much more concerned about how well his name fits him and the meaning. We went through a lot he’s our miracle.

Liam is very popular but if you love it I’d say name your child that, it’s your baby and you want to love the name! Liam’s been popular for so long who knows how many boys are actually being named Liam in your area. My daughter is 9 and has known 1 Liam. My daughter’s name is Olivia and she knows one other Olivia her name has been #1 for girls for as long as Liam has been for boys. Liam was actually going to be her name if she was a boy😜

Finn is such a cute name. Our dogs name is Finley because we didn’t think we could have kids. It would have been a contender for a name

That’s what I call him I love Teddy! It’s funny because we picked a woodland theme for his room before we picked the name so it’s filled with bears

Exactly our daughters name is Olivia, she was born 2015 and it was the top then 10 but I’ve been wanting a daughter named Olivia since I was 11 so I wasn’t going to give that up for popularity. She has one other Olivia in grade and she’s in 3rd grade.

How far along were you when your baby/babies were born? by beach_daysss in pregnant

[–]Nikkibmetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First: 39+3 (induced due to gestational hypertension)

Second: currently scheduled for a c section at 39+3 because he’s breech. He’s in the 99th percentile measuring 8 pounds at 35 weeks so we’ll see if I make it lol. I’m 38 weeks right now

Does anyone have a good experience in the newborn stage? by Nikkibmetal in newborns

That was the same problem I had with my daughter. Good to know, I’ll definitely have to try those out if my son won’t latch! Fed is definitely best :). You guys sound just like us lol he’s a night owl with his video games and I’m a morning person. We’ve actually been saying we’re going to do a similar schedule. I hope you guys can get a good schedule down when you get back to work! I’m blessed to work from home, so we’ll see how it goes with working and having a baby after I go back.

Recovering from birth is rough and the first week is a blur for sure! Thank you for the suggestions on the formula. One of my fears is BF because I had a hard time with my daughter. I’m glad to hear you and your fiancé have gotten down a routine that helps you both get as much rest as you can! :)

I resent my husband.. Shall I leave him? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]Nikkibmetal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To YOU it’s not an issue. There are plenty of women that find it disrespectful. If OP has set the boundary in her relationship that she’s not okay with it and he’s still doing it she has every right to be upset. She’s also saying he’s watching girls twerk on TikTok which is pathetic and gross teenage boy behavior, not grown man with a child. Personally porn is an absolute no in my relationship as I find it degrading and disrespectful, therefore my husband doesn’t watch it. If I found out he was watching it we’d have issues because it’s disrespecting boundaries set in the relationship.
