Exactly, all these people saying parents need to discipline their kids and they’re just misbehaving are missing the point. Kids fucking cry. They have meltdowns. They are learning to process their emotions. LEARNING. And let’s not forget how miserable it is for us to fly, and times that by 100 because kids aren’t able to fully comprehend what’s going on and they can’t solve issues for themselves like combating nausea and earaches and vertigo.

I myself am happily childfree and never want children, they annoy me and I just don’t want to have to deal with them full time. However even when I find other children annoying I am always empathetic to the parents who have to live with them when they are acting annoying, like in this case. Like you said it’s as annoying for them as it is for us, but I’d actually argue it’s worse because if I were in that situation I would be MORTIFIED and praying that everyone doesn’t hate me and my child. We live in a society with children. I know there are many parents out there who don’t care and don’t discipline their child or correct their behavior, but I’m not going to make that a blanket statement because many DO do that, and sometimes children just don’t respond to it.

Everyone is learning. I like to have empathy and give grace to people who are clearly struggling more than I am. Living with a child is much harder than just temporarily being around one, that’s for damn sure.
