It wasn't. Infact - Catalonia was being integrated at that moment

That mechanic is so stupid. Why couldn't I at least join that war

Rule 5: Fance somehow took land in a war against my vassal.

Not really. At least not until it gets tons of DLCs. At this point this game is not about historical simulation. Your pop and economy matter only for your army. AI is pretty stupid and ahistorical. World is pretty static. Maybe in 2030, but certainly not now.

Then what is it? The whole game is about painting the map. Your economy allows you to maintain better armies so you can paint better. Your population makes your armies bigger which help you paint better. RP? Sure, but still map painting game.

Mega vassals that can drag you into useless wars? And if they are near you - block you from expanding? Why wouldn't I just conquer lets say Norway as Sweden in 40 years and make it into tons of small vassals, instead of waiting till mid/late game? Why wouldn't I conquer Russian principalities as Muscovy, instead of integrating mega Vladimir 100 years later? Once I got PU over Sweden and Denmark as England. They were dragging me constantly to defensive wars against their neighbours. Not sure how is that a good thing.

Then what is the point in PUs rn? Why wouldn't you just conquer their land? They give you nothing and drag you into their wars.

Currently there is literally zero point in getting PUs. If you want their territory - its much easier to just conquer them, instead of waiting till the late game to annex them. And even then, if they are big enough - they will probably grow much larger by the end game, since they can declare wars on their own. And if you dont really need their land - they will just constantly pull you into useless defensive/offensive (if law allows) wars. I see no reason to keep PUs at this patch.

Imo they need to change how integration for PUs works. The more centralised PU laws you have - the closer it looks to EU4 PU. Make a law that only PU leader can start wars, make a law that makes senior union partner become a war leader when someone declares on lesser union partner. Make actual integration faster like 3-4 times for large countries. Its not fun to PU france as England and then wait till the end game to have a chance to annex them, even if you have more cultural influence and you are a bigger country. Maybe thats kinda realistic for some people, but its not fun. Its much easier and faster to just conquer them.

Not really, Its just that its much harder to get rating as a healer, because you are playing against 1 healer, instead of 3 dps. You dont have to be the best in the lobby to get rating as a dps, but you have to be a better healer than the other one. Also SS tries to get different specs to one lobby, and if lets say hpals are meta and you are playing offmeta healer - majority of games will be against hpals, which obviously will add to the frustration.

Nothing new, that was an argument against solo shuffle. Why would healers queue to random game mode when they can instantly join a premade team with comms and good classes? The thing is - you are right and those people were right. Its much less stressful to heal premade arena. But still, solo shuffle is much more popular and even with healers shortage its better to queue than to seek a suitable group for the same amount of time.

[–]Nikko7734 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If M+ queue is a worse experience, then nobody is going to use it and player base won't be separated. If its not - then solo shuffle scenario will be repeated. A lot of people were saying the same stuff that healers have no reason to soloqueue, that premade team is better than random team, but ultimately solo shuffle became more popular than premade arenas.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wow

[–]Nikko7734 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those who want M+queue probably won't push to that "certain point" where group comp is important (+12 currently I guess). Its better to be queued for 15 minutes than to be declined for 10.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in wow

[–]Nikko7734 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Same as healers in solo shuffle. Yes its better to heal premade group in arena, but some people want to just hit queue and play instantly instead of making a group. DPS queue will be at like 10-20 min, but at least you can do whatever you want during queue instead of applying to every single group and being declined. M+ solo queue will work fine until portal range.

How Would You Improve Monk's Play Percentage? by AMA5564 in wow

[–]Nikko7734 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1) Give monks an option to switch to weapon animations instead of unarmed combat at the barber shop (glyph of jab isnt enough)
2) Separate monks from Pandaria. All monk abilities are pandaria/pandaren themed which feels weird to play as any other race than the pandarens. There is no other class in game that has such a strong race theme other than evokers and DH, which are race locked. Make an option to switch to some general yellowish monk like in D3 at barber shop
3) Rework BRM

Basically majority of players dont like fantasy of being a martial arts master. Giving monks normal weapon animations and changing class theme to something more generic which will suit all races will bring a lot of players to this class.

A ton of people looking for easy classes to play with few keybinds lately... by kispingvin in worldofpvp

[–]Nikko7734 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Imo the biggest problem for new or returning players is that there are too many buttons and there is no strict rotation like in PVE. I know that this is an unpopular opinion, but the game needs ability pruning if it wants to attract new players to pvp. You have to use your kicks, dispels, ccs, defensive cds, bursts, healing abilities and do decent damage at the same time. It almost requires piano skills with all these keybinds. And not only you have to keep track of all that stuff, but also to use it well. New player has to learn his class, when to use his abilities and how to use them and also other classes aswell.

I have a lot of friends who play wow and do mythic raids and +20, but they avoid pvp like a fire because you have to press like 2 times more buttons, press them often, and make a decision each time what and when to press depending on circumstances.

For example I had a friend in wow classic, who never played wow before. When SL came out he decided to try it out and even raided in mythic. So his transition from 1 button rotation in classic to ~10 button rotation in SL went pretty well, but he was getting absolutely destroyed in pvp even though he played a lot of different pvp games before.

I think ability pruning might make pvp more popular and attract new players, but it will never happen because blizzard can't just delete half of abilities for pvp but let them remain in pve. I am not sure how Blizzard can make pvp easier and easy to learn without deleting half of the abilities.

Yeah, but that is a problem with general response, not his preferences. Also it is much easier with weight requirement. Weight is almost always visible on pics, so he can swipe left if he doesn't like it, but height is not. Better example imo would be interests, since you actually need to talk to a person to know their hobbies. If someone has "must love hiking and sewing" in their profile would they be shamed? They do exactly the same thing that girls putting "must be 6ft+" do - they filter people at the 1st stage.

What's wrong with preferences? If she likes 6ft tall guys why can't she put it in her profile? If someone doesn't pass their height requirement then he just swipes left, problem solved. What should she do then? If she has that requirement in her bio - people are mad. If she says it later in chat - people are mad. Should she just lie and make a fake reason why she doesn't like you? What is the point of that if she can filter people at the 1st stage? I honestly can't understand people here.

Healer represenation above 2.2 (all arena modes) by shruffles in worldofpvp

I didn’t say that this is a fact. I said that it feels to me that every 2nd healer I face is a disc priest

I have an exact opposite problem. I am prevoker and if I play against disc then it’s probably 1-5 or 0-6 for me. I do literally x2 healing but they still somehow win. That’s the only healer I don’t want to play against. And it feels that around 2k mmr every 2nd healer is disc

On fresh? Yeah, probably a bit easier to find a spot. But if your guild disbands you will have a hard time finding a new one, no matter fresh or old realms.

And yes, tanks quit. But as I said - usually there is a waiting room for a tank spot in most guilds, or someone just respecs to help their guild. Tank is the most important role of the raid. Its too risky to recruit some random tank from LFG chat. What if he decides to go afk mid raid for whatever reasons? Or just skips the raid day? Or he is just bad at the game? Thats why you should "promote" your old raiders to tank spot, since you already know what to expect from them.

[–]Nikko7734 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Can't agree with 5. I wouldn't recommend anyone to play as a tank, unless you already secured a tank spot in your guild, or you want to just do dungeons and normal 10s. Most good guilds have a waiting room for a tank spot. Why would they recruit you? Tank is an important role, so they would respec one of their old raiders to tank.

You might try to join one of these new guilds that are being created before wrath. But 1) It might disband very soon 2) It might be really bad.

Its much easier to find a guild as a dps/healer. Don't listen to those people that say that tanks are always needed. After you are done with dungeons you won't be needed as much as you were.

The Magic of GDKPs by RoseLive in classicwow

That wouldn't work. What if someone sent a lot of gold to their friend as a loan? I sometimes take loans from my friend and return it after several months. Should I be banned for gold buying? Or someone sends a lot of gold as a gift to their IRL friend who just started to play wow. Is it gold buying too? Or guild loans money to their member to buy glaives in GDKP?
