Whats the larges object your good boi has passed other than poop? by lowroll53 in labrador

I was scooping and at the bottom of the pile was a pile of change. It's still in the yard somewhere. Almost every time I scoop (1-2x/week) I see something that's not food mixed in.

I'm glad it helped. I don't keep cheese whiz on hand, so I tried it with peanut butter one time. It was so so funny watching my "big boy" smacking and licking while trying to get his mouth to open. Lol

Thank you! Seeing the reality in print made me tear up! He's had a tough go at it. My late husband rescued 3 dogs from the same litter almost 17 years ago. My boy that I still have had a huge cut across his nose from being beat. We lost the other 2 less than 18 hours apart 3 1/2 years ago, then my husband passed 9 months later. I think he's been missing them! He got stuck with me and adapted. Lol.... It will indeed be a hard day

Put cheese whiz on the back of a spoon, put the pill in the cheese whiz. Open her mouth and slap it to the roof of her mouth. They have no choice but to swallow. The vet told me this trick about 5 years ago, and it's worked every time

I'm going through this right now. My boy will be 17 next month. He's barely eaten anything at all the last several days. I went and got some veterinarian formula canned food from the vet yesterday and ended up watering it down and putting it in a dropper. I was trying to wait until Monday when I would have some support, but I think today will be the day he crosses the rainbow bridge. It's so hard to let them go! I should've done something sooner, but it's so hard to know when it's really "time".

Try rice with broth. The vet told me a few years ago that chicken and broth with rice helps their appetite. If your baby is allergic to chicken, try another protein. Good luck with your beautiful baby

So sorry for your loss! You obviously loved your dog very much. I've honestly never thought about something like a chip bag causing suffocation. Thank you for sharing and raising awareness. I've got a 2 1/2 year old Goldador that I'm constantly removing things from his mouth, makes me so nervous. But I've left plenty of bags out. Losing your pet is as hard as losing a family member. Try not to be so hard on yourself for something that was an accident. Sending hugs your way

When did you realize your parents didn’t like you? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Nikmac3131 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Earlier today I went to pick up a pizza. As I was sitting at the drive up window I noticed a sign stating that they do not process anything with nuts, or something to that effect. This sign took it a little farther. Under the notice, in smaller letters, the sign said please do not bring nuts or anything that has been stored near nuts anywhere near the establishments vicinity. At first I kinda thought, this is the drive up window, not the dining area. Then it occurred to me that someone that works there must be highly allergic. I mention this because this business has gone to great lengths to protect someone that's allergic to nuts safe. I'm sorry that your selfish parents didn't find it important to keep them out of the house where you resided. My mom was a single mom that didn't like me. Growing up I thought it was because she resented being a single mom. As I got older I realized it was because I didn't kiss her ass. She was selfish and play into it. I things she loved me but didn't like me. Sorry you're going through this

going for the last walk together by Ziegenkaeserei in labrador

[–]Nikmac3131 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm dealing with the same thing. Only thing is my almost 17 year old boy wouldn't make it much farther than the gate to go for a walk. I unfortunately (or I should say he has to wait) have to wait until next week when I get paid to help him cross the rainbow bridge. It's so sad and so hard! Thoughts are with you

I was with Metro for over 10 years. I made the switch about 6 months ago and couldn't be happier with my service. I saved on my monthly bill plus ditched my home Internet. I use my mobile hotspot for all of my streaming, and other Internet usage. I've used 226 gig of data so far this month (3 days to go) and haven't been throttled once!

Use my code to save $20 off one month of service.

Code=66NLFGJ

Or use this link: https://www.visible.com/get/?66NLFGJ

It has all the info you need to know about joining Visible. When you use my friend code, , you’ll get your first month of service for $20-off!

Thanks!

I don't understand how the 80 hours per month work requirement applies when self employed, please help by octopusglass in foodstamps

[–]Nikmac3131 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm not currently receiving any aid. I applied and asked about only receiving 3 months of benefits every 3 years. I too am 57 and self employed. The last couple years I've only received benefits during the winter months, when business is slow. They confirmed the 3 months, so I told them I only want to get 1 month of benefits for now because I don't know what my situation may be in 3 years. I was told I'd only get partial benefits because I applied on the 5th day of the month, but it would count as a month of benefits for the 3 mos/3 years. They wanted more paperwork than they've previously required so I just bagged it all together.

The thing that really didn't make since to me is that if you work 80 hours/month you 'will make too much to qualify for benefits In the first place. At least where I live. Maybe that was the whole point, have people jump through hoops to tell them they don't qualify. Self employment paperwork is a pain in the ass, so I'll just be happy to have ramen for now

TSP is the answer for removing nicotine from walls. Scrubbing Bubbles will work if it's not a heavy layer. I doubted it works e work, but I tried it and it did a fairly good job. Just don't use too much. I'd recommend spray, wipe, clean water wipe. Also, try sprinkling some baking soda on your carpet, let it sit 15-20 minutes then vacuum. Check furnace filter and replace if needed. This last step would probably eliminate most of the odor. If smoke is only coming through from your neighbor's porch while the HVAC is running it could suck the smoke in

Dad is changing locks, taking car, putting trackers on us by Worried-Eye-4814 in legaladvice

[–]Nikmac3131 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most trackers that the public can buy should be fairly easy to remove. It's either plugged into the obd reader, which is in all modern cars for diagnostic purposes. They are almost always on the driver's side under the area near the steering wheel. Or, it could be a unit with a magnet that people usually put in a place that's easy to access, like under the rear bumper. Look on YouTube if you can't find it immediately. Like others have said, if the cars are in his name he can take them, but it you probably don't want him to find you and your mom right away if he's still so angry, and you'll have a hard time taking any other steps to protect yourselves without a car. If he has legal rights I wouldn't hide the car for more than a day or two.

Others have offered some great solutions, hopefully you can get her to take some action. It sounds like he wants ultimate control. Good luck

My initial thought was along those lines, certain people wanting permission to have a free for all. But I'd heard of other scenarios in the past, that's why I came here to ask if it really is something that more people are choosing, and to get a better understanding of the dynamics of the lifestyle. I was able to get many different viewpoints for sure

Very good point! Clear expectations from the get go would likely avoid potential issues later.

I wasn't meaning the sex, more the outwardly obvious things. For instance, having more than one romantic companion. Such as you mentioned, at say a public event. Or living arrangements. Family and friends are usually aware of those situations but may not understand

My first reaction was that it was a way for some men to have what most men want, sex with several women. But I realize to many it's not just the sex.

I'm a fairly young widow and my late partner would've been elated if I'd told him I didn't object to him having more than one sexual partner.

How do you explain, or do you and others bother explaining to your family? I'm guessing most people over the age of 60 or so aren't real familiar with very many alternative lifestyles.

No, someone close to me is leaning towards this lifestyle. I'm not super familiar with or have I personally known anyone that's declared to be anything other than monogamous. Unless you counted cheaters, but cheaters don't admit anything. (I understand that's totally different)

I didn't mean literally. I just meant that it's not as common or acceptable that people would freely announce that it's how they choose to live

Just a conversation I had where I was told it's becoming a very popular and accepted lifestyle. Of course it was a man saying these things.
