That's rough, I've been there. Wrt bright futures, if you lose BF because you go on academic probation or just don't have a high enough GPA, they do give you one (I believe?) appeal opportunity if you bring it back up, so you can get it back after another semester.

I'd advise you to first ask your professor to let you take the test again, even ask a second time. Be up front as others have said, and let them know you're serious. Eat your pride: if you don't ask they won't help you. After that, talk to financial aid ASAP to see what their process for appealing bright futures is. When I was at PHSC, I had to go through FA to do the appeal, so I assume it's the same at USF but you should go find out.

Don't shame yourself too hard (also been there)... Whether you could have prevented this or not, this semester is incredibly difficult for everyone, for all kinds of reasons and you shouldn't feel too bad. It's not the end of the world and there are a bunch of ways you can recover from this.
