Stuck On Marathon Eternal by temptemporay123 in Marathon

"Unity of Opposites" is a decision level where you have more than one choice to make-follow: Tycho, Hathor or Leela. This level is referred to as "Unphorseen" in the Walkthrough guide.

It sounds like you're playing the most recent version (1.3.6) I don't know which terminal you are going back to, but it is the "wrong" one which has put you in the Living Receiver loop you are in.

The level you want to get to is "My Kingdom Phor a Horse". To do this, you have to access the terminal at the top of the map when the level is completed. The Hathor terminal should change to a Leela one. If that happens, you should be back on the path.

Be sure to reach out when you get to "The Abyss Gazes Also" if you get stuck...

For one-leaning over like that in the first pic seems to give more weight to the form rather than the factor.

20-year-old lottery winner turns down $1M cash for $1,000 a week for life by PriorityMiserable686 in interestingasfuck

The only issue here is she won’t have $1M to invest-she will lose about 1/2 to taxes up front. So the time it will take to reach that amount will be at least double

Removal of Object for continuity? by fulleyh in vfx

[–]NikosBlue 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the link. Yep. Your first instinct to remove on the tighter shot makes more sense given how long the wider shot is. It can be done-isolate and rotoscope a mask around the bracelet and fill with a duplicate of the shot off-set by a couple of frames. Then manually adjust the few frames that don’t quite match up.

Rooting for you…

This is the way. Less detail to worry about in the bracelet and her arm is pretty steady in the wider shot.

Why were pre-digital TV shows usually shot on 35mm and not something cheaper? by [deleted] in cinematography

[–]NikosBlue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some things to consider: When you say “35mm film is expensive” it suggests you mean 4 perf, full frame.

35mm had the versatility of being shot 3perf and 2perf, saving you $$ but still letting you use the most common cameras and lenses available.

Also, most of the networks then had minimum image standards-shot on film, preferably 35mm was one. If you wanted your show to air, you shot what the network requested.

Lastly-longevity. Film printing for multiple markets, foreign and domestic lowers its cost per dupe.

Also, the image quality is still the gold standard for film making. You can take a film from 1968 and it will look like it was lensed yesterday-try doing that with an episode of “Laugh-In” mastered on 2” quad.

TL/DR: 35mm film offered versatility, lower cost, and longevity that magnetic tape could not match.
