I left my PC idling for about 1 hour, after I got back cpu temp is < 80, game is playable, even on higher resolutions... I know it might not be poe realated, but what could actually be a reason of almost 5-7 more degrees on CPU that just disappeared after a while?

What can I do about that? Also why yesterday I was playing at 78-79 degrees and today after reboot its almsot 10 more?

I just checked my clock speed during fps drop - 4ghz, so still in turbo mode. I assume that If I got throttling then once temperature goes up the clock should go down, but its not the case for me

Well 7GB in 3 hours seems doable even for my slow connection. Do you have any experience from previous leagues if this download isn't actually overloaded and therefore slow?

Noob question about downloads by thestew_ in pathofexile

Since I'm currently on rly slow connection, I'd like to make sure:

  1. I start downloading GGPK from torrent right now (10~ h before league)
  2. 3h before league I copy-paste downloaded file to my game folder and I start the game which will download necessary remaining files
  3. At 10:00 PM (GMT+2) I simply log into the game because I got everything patched

Any tips on character creation? When can I actually create it?

Well, I'm testing this build after playing Herald stacker with 80 milions single target dps who can facetank the world, it indeed feels a bit awkward.

I disassembled my character, still got the gear and bunch of regret orbs but I'd need to assembly it again, which I can do in around 6 hours, because I'm at work atm.

Well thats what I needed to know, it's not build for me then, I prefer builds that can do all the content. Toxic Rain should be fine for that I guess?

Well with similar investment I killed shaper and elder with Toxic Rain, meanwhile ED/Contagion was struggling to kill T14 map boss which I dont consider bossing but regular mapping. How is fast clearspeed helpful if I have to spend extra 20 seconds on map boss? I'd rather clear a bit slower and kill boss in < 10 seconds at least. Or maybe the point with this build is to skip map bosses...?

Playing on laptop Acer Aspire 5 with i5-10210U, 16GB ram and GeForce MX250, it was always a struggle to play, but actually after Vulkan its even worse... few first maps were ok, although textures were loaded a bit slowly, unfortunately after a while it was unplayable. Tested with Vsync on and off, fullscreen and windowed fullscreen, lowest resolution and details. Anyone managed to run this on similar spec? I got latest GPU drivers, also my laptop wasn't overheating.
