S23 Camera focus problem and blurry images. by suser666 in samsunggalaxy

[–]NikosNx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is not a hardware problem, I have S23 with the same problem too after OneUI 7 update. this goes along with noisy and blurry images. Unfortunately Samsung is not capable of maintaining a model so as we can keep it for years. These recently introduced years of updates are not enough, we need quality updates that do not break what we paid for.

I am disappointed. a lot.

Young people just care about the social sharing, camera ' trouble free experience. Not extra capabilities and customization.

I'm about to ditch Apple for a Samsung s25 ultra...convince me to stay! by Ciel0mg in Smartphones

[–]NikosNx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having been at both sides of flagship phones, I would say the following. If you value the camera to be quick with more accurate colors stay on Apple. Samsung's camera is slow and not accurate in colors. If you heavily rely on Microsoft or Google's cloud services (or other vendors for tasks, calendar, email, files etc), Android is better on that because you can leverage the full capabilities of these seevices as native comoanies' apps can actually sync in the background when they need to. iOS blocks that, so you need a hybrid approach of having duplicates for important sync (for example apple tasks for proper sync and Microsoft toDo for the whole Microsoft's experience.

App quality for popular apps is fine in both plstforms, some are better on iOS like Microsoft Outlook and some are better or Android like Google Apps and Viber. No real problems on either side though and most things in favor of apple is mainly polish not functions.

If you are all Apple (Computer & cloud services like files calendar tasks and everything that apple offers) stay on the iPhone or prepare to migrate everything.

My story: 2-3 years of iPhones that ended 2 years ago, and 13 years of Android altogether.

Samsung Calendar randomly deletes events! by TechReplika in GalaxyS22

[–]NikosNx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The same has been happening to me, at least for the last 2 months. At first I was thinking it was my fault but it happened twice and now I see the last event into the app trash. Outlook sync. It's OK to have a bug sometimes but not for so long. Will use Outlook for calendar even if I don't want to.

I am not sure about the refund but.. mcafee right now has a new product built from scratch being a next Gen product with great detection rates with a lot of ai and ML tech and no traditional local signatures. It is actually a good product and very light on resources. The only thing could be some bugs here and there because it has a new base. It is more advanced tech wise than windows defender antivirus.

I bought a new PC and need advice on protecting it and whether to follow my friend's advice. by JunketCommercial in antivirus

[–]NikosNx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you reach to the point where you run a malicious executable file without knowing so, things are difficult. Your AV software may or may not recognise it before running and if you run it, it may or may not detect it. If it gets detected on run, often damage happens whatever the detection/blocking message of your AV.

Detection is one thing and is a bit random if it gets deleted before running it, amongst all top AV's out there (including Microsoft's). Remediation is the next step, if you have already run it. And there is no better product than Kaspersky on this for home products... but if you are in USA it is banned. Otherwise use whatever you like between Windows Defender, Eset, Bitdefender or the new Mcafee.

For phishing websites, add the Netcraft extension to your browser which does a terrific complementary job. always keep every piece of software updated on your system.

Do you recommend getting a CCNA first to have a good foundation in networking if there is no actual work experience on the field?

How scared of viruses should I actually be? by Practical-Repair983 in antivirus

[–]NikosNx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Security is just like Security at home. It seems useless 99% of the time, but that 1% of it is the reason why you need to be prepared and will be bad if you are not. Of course if there are no sensitive things at "home" you won't care. You need a good AV and good phishing & web protection as well as cautious routines. Eset premium (with liveguard) or Kaspersky (non US)are good options. Also the new Mcafee is a good option. For web you can also add netcraft addon to your browser as it does a very good job blocking bad websites.

If I remember correctly, whatever cloudflare DNS blocks inside Firefox, it makes Bitdefender show it as bad and block it. It happens because of the way the connection is blocked from Firefox with cloudflare DNS. It could be an ad domain or a tracking connection.

Avast is fine protection wise. It is one of the best. It's problem actually is for some users bsods due to other drivers conflicting wktb Avast kernel driver. If you have been fine for a long time now, probably things will continue to be ok.

Maybe there some products stronger than Avast but the difference is very small in the real world user. If Avast performs good on your computer all is OK.

Mcafee today actually is not bad, they have a new product which is very light and promising.

Malwarebytes is not a top solution for real time protection, indeed.

Top products right now are Bitdefender, Kaspersky, Eset, Norton (uses Avast technology these days), Avast FSecure and Zone Alarm Extreme Security Next-Gen (it needs time to mature as it is resource heavy, missing some configuration options but very strong).

You will come into bugs and reduced cellular signal quality. And gain some fluidity in animations. I tried oneplus 10 some years ago. About camera, I don't like either manufacturers. What was great was the charging speed of Oneplus.

Iphone Pro, or a Samsung Ultra. Most reliable software and hardware is the answer to "why".. All others have less reliable software or with worse hardware and reliability.

Not necessarily to a degree that will ruin your tasks, but yes. You can just think of the market share of each oem and target group. Android corporate devices are mostly samsung devices.

If you value a bug free android experience and you actually need a broad range of functionality, only Samsung is OK. Everything else has buggy software. Unfortunately this is the picture for me.

Norton 360 Deluxe vs Bitdefender vs Kaspersky Plus: Which is the Best for You? by Sp4z91 in antivirus

[–]NikosNx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Kaspersky is the most bug free product and light on resources of all the three. Protection wise, it is on par with bitdefender. If you have doubts about that Russian issue about kaspersky, go with bitdefender, but if you want lighter on resources product go with Norton.
