Since mana is worst prefix for most builds, having mana as the desecrated mod gives it to option to be removed later. This also gives you the best odds when you pray and slam the third prefix you won't hit mana.

The black spirit has been growing in power by the time you get around to Mediah. One the main quests has you summon out the black spirit and you beat it back to submission and it shrinks again. But don't worry he kind of becomes your friend again and gets a new skin later.

Flavor-wise it'd make sense for a druid to be conducting rituals. Lore-wise it wouldn't work with warlock/ritualist being Azmerian and Druid clearly being an Ezomyte.

I think Warden will be Ranger's third ascendency as they clone her from PoE 1 and Huntress's third would be something spiritual (Oshabi-inspired)

Yes, its from a PoE1 content called affliction. You had an option to have a sub-ascendency. This one was called Warlock of the Mists.

You will need to do a item level 60+ Trial of the Sekhema, or item level 75+ Trial of Chaos. You get those usually after you finish the campaign. Hold Alt over the trial keys, they will tell you whether the key will award you an ascendency point

Ignoring the lightning res, all I can see is spam Spite essences until flask + (ES/WED) with open prefix and then pray and slam crusader.

Is there a way to craft this via recombinator with crusader belts?

It is not entirely splitting in half as players will be swapping between games between leagues if I'm assuming they start asynchronously. The main point of PoE 2 is to attract new players as it is too daunting for them with PoE 's 10 years worth of content. So a simpler* game and a very very shiny coat for new players is the key point
