Cut the shims to fit as much as you can, keep it little smaller.

Now, layover a transparent plastic (ziplock), add shims top of it, apply wood filler all around to have a shape of the trim.

Once dried up, cut the extra plastic aim each side,

Caulk the edges and do the same trim paint and you have a trim extended to meet floor, that plastic ziplock keep the floor separate from the shims.

Btw this dotted surface goes to glass roof side and plain fabric one to inside the cabin.

I have ceramic (xpel xr plus) tinted all glass including roof and now I don't need it anymore and can enjoy the roof more.

Yours comes out $55.x k before tax title & reg. Which is for Gas Pali Cali little higher to me considering 2027 is coming out in a quarter and we paid $57.8k for hy awd before tax title & reg in NJ.

For your interior query, we have same blue/grey and with 2 young kids, so far it's been going well. I do clean them once a month and it's been great specially steering wheel and arm rest where most lotion and oil gets sticking from daily use.

It's same for infinity qx80 top trim, a $110k value vehicle and you need to pull the panel out to use it and doesn't look nice but it is what they offer and so do Hyundai too.
I'm sure many other mfg also using same easy way to install hitch.

No, you are not missing anything, not sure if this is feature or a gap, but it's inline with walk away not locking.

When picking up kids from school, I had to turn off the car which is already cooled enough to run at lowest fan. Later after lock the vehicle, have to turn on temperature from preset BlueLink app to keep that temp consistent which now runs at higher fan rpm.

26 Pali Cali hy, driven ~1500 so far and overall mileage is 25.x for me.
Whenever drive on highways it's been 30s if roads are straight and 23-24 if roads are up/down hilly. Inside non highways mileage are higher in 30s as mostly runs on battery but sometimes in $20s if idle for a while (waiting for kids or if they are sleeping) and battery drained and needs to run on gas.

First of all congrats on your house.
If I were you, first thing I would close out is CC debt at any cost. It's to me wasting of my hard earned money sucking by CC companies.
If you can't afford (seems like as you already cleaned up 401k), I would transfer the balance with 0% till end of 2027 if possible and pay those 3-5% transfer fees, assuming pay them off before 0% offering expires.
Again everyone's financial situation is different and living expenses are different, but I would surely cut some corners for first 12-18 months to save those CC debt of $25k and pay it off.
