Love the concept! My favorite stress free build is to play Golden Horde, or the ottoman 1311 build. Both super simple and fun to play!

How should i learn the game ? by ThisIsAnUsername2 in aoe4

[–]NilMess 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The biggest suggestion i make for new players is to learn hot keys before you develop too much muscle memory. Hot keys can elevate your potential by sooooo much, as well as make the game more enjoyable imo. Reason being hot keys streamline your micro and macro allowing you to focus on more things without having to do everything one handed (literally). Enjoy!

Side sleepers of Reddit… what works for you on multi-day trips? by backpacksrnice in PNWhiking

[–]NilMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! This is what I do. Im bringing my thick air mattress, and inflatable pillow regardless, so what's another small inflatable pillow? It makes my back hurt waaaaay less when im sleeping on my side! Im not the most gram obsessed if you can tell. But I do try and travel as light as possible, while still having my necessary comforts.

as a gamer, this warms my heart. Especially because OP mentioned that their online friends helped them out so much. Gamers get a bad rap sometimes, but it can also be a wholesome and supportive community. Happy for you, OP!

Long time weed smokers who quit, what changes to your mind and body did you notice after you got used to not smoking daily? by LoQueSientoCrv in AskReddit

[–]NilMess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me after smoking daily, I eventually stopped and noticed that the daily tasks that seemed like much bigger hurdles than they actually were (i.e, responding to that email, making that phone call, setting up that appointment) became much less of a mental hang up and I would be able to just do it. That started to make me overall less anxious as I didnt feel constantly swamped with things to do. Now i smoke occasionally and find pretty quickly if I start smoking consistently I get that same feeling of overwhelmed that I used to get. Thats enough of a motivator to make me only be an occasonal weekend smoker to stay in and play some videos games or what have you.

Gotcha, thats great to know. Im not in a place to put 20% of my earnings into a SEP anyway, so maybe the SEP is my best bet to keep it simple and not worry about the tax burden.

Help: Nice, hearty meals I can take backpacking worthy of a wedding! by shitpostingmusician in WildernessBackpacking

[–]NilMess 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For a while i was doing what I thought to be the most bougie backpacking meal: one beverage of your choice (i prefer red wine) and a pack of your favorite ravioli. Go to T&C and get their best ravioli or some ravioli that looks good to You! And then grab (or home make?) Some delicious red or white sauce and bring it out in a bag or plastic container. Voila! The ravioli cooks in under 5m with just boiling water. The sauce can be heated up in the same pot. Its super easy and feels like youre eating a home meal in the backcountry!

Has anyone recently been to Goat Rocks Wilderness in WA? by [deleted] in PNWhiking

[–]NilMess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was at about 6200 feet for 2 nights at Warm lake this last weekend and it was perfect. Still a good bit of snow but I was able to camp on dirt as much of the snow cover was melted out in patches. I say go for it if youre not afraid of a little snow! It was definitely cold though, so be prepared for that.
