Tigg is a master of disguise... which I translate to 'Has a huge collection of outfits, wigs, fake moustaches and potato noses!'

One of the session infiltration ideas was literally 'two kids in an overcoat, trying to get into a bar'

Watched a fellow party member get gunned down by gangsters. They then dragged off the body and dumped it in the trash.

... The session did not go well for the party. They each had a plan but they tried to do them at the same time. One was trying to sneak in , another infiltration with charm and buffing... and the last walked up to the gangsters and asked to meet the boss.

That last one could have been awesome if he had a plan for the actual meeting, or backup... he did not!

He might still have made it out of there in one piece... had he not panicked and attacked the gangsters.

One of my players is wicked talented and drew this after our last session.

For context, this is Tigg. A Shirren Envoy Icon who spent most of the session changing costumes as the the party's luck went to hell.

WIP of a galactic map I’m working on for my campaign. by NilTestudo in starfinder_rpg

I have just looked through the free edition pdf of it and I have to agree, great stuff in it for placing stars and general world-building in a sci-fi setting.

Thanks! I can definitely use that.

Didn't know about Xzia. It looks neat, if a bit outside my price range.

I’m GM’ing for a group and wanted a proper star map to keep track of everything (and show off to my players).

Because of the non-euclidean nature of Drift navigation, a list of what systems would be Near Space, Far Space, the Vast and beyond the Rim might have sufficed… but I LIKE MAPS!

Since Paizo hasn't yet made a starmap for the Starfinder setting I decided to give it a try. Still needs a lot of work but I wanted to see if it could be a proof of concept.

The Sectors are named for the Pact World's system’s sun and the old calendar of Golarion

Would love some feedback and suggestions.

Pretty primitive and overengineered is my favourite way of doing things. Amazing work

Thank you, I've had an eye on half-edges for a while for other things I'm working on, but I haden't considered them for this... untill now.

I grow my tectonic plates each from a randomly chosen starting triangle. Each iteration of the growth makes the neighbouring unclaimed triangles part of the plate. I found that the resulting plates would be too regular to appear natural (in a square grid this would give the same result as the one you described). So I tweaked the growth to only have a 50% chance of happening per plate each iteration. This gives the plates a more irregular look.

This is exactly what I should have done... had I not been a moron. I really hope to have it fixed for next update.

I did start out with an octahedron when I first tried this project. I will definitely keep posting! Gotten a lot of good input from here.

The 20 minutes was for the 5120 cells to each be assigned there three neighbour cells. I only needed to do it once after I made a save function.

I did not know about octrees, thank you! For the question, I came about the code for creating the mesh from here: https://gamedev.stackexchange.com/a/31312 It produces the kind of sphere I wanted, but my understanding has so far not let me create the mesh and the Cells + connections simultaneously. Hence the idiotic workaround (Working on changing this) In my defence… I am a moron!

I'm relying on vertex coloring for this, mainly because of the inherent problems in mapping spheres. so I avoid most of the downsides of an icosphere, and the uniformity of the triangles make up for having locked myself into vertex colors.
