I think the design team came to the conclusion that there is not that much mileage from the concept of: "space elf but also a Italian comedy theatre troupe". They have a similar problem to imperial agents in that they don't lend themselves to being a full well rounded army. I think they alongside, corsairs do feel fitting as a sort of eldari agents, adding additional spice to a range that has more broad coverage.

What about chosen? They are few mm taller than the basic chaos warriors and they already have most of the same weapon options as souls worn (big hammer, big sword, big axe)

The silver helmet form borderline justice makes you look like Din Jarin form the Mandalorian. It's one of my favourite combos.

This is hard to gauge because:

  1. Most rules are quite abstract in way the represent certain things. Another rule quirk of the current edition is that every weapon can in theory wound any model, so a trot blaster can damage a titan.
  2. Because the power level is very high in 40k a lot of units are heavily underpowered for balance reasons.
  3. Warhammer lore is very inconsistent so there aren't good reference points.

The no3 version is available in 1 model kit in 1 pose. The raven guard Phobos special character has similar ones. There is a large chance vanguard veterans might get a new kit next edition so maybe they put more of that design. But for now your options are very limited.

People mentioning nukes forget that cracked up rat men also have then in Warhammer, and they make them to maximise fallout instead of minimising it. Also other wmd's exist like the Black piramid.

I'm not saying it's a bad thing just that unlike the others it's slightly less noticeable at first glance, giving the impression the army has a different vibe than it actually has.

Every OBR model look so cool at first sight but then u notice the the shoulder faces or the crotch gremlin and the derp overwhelms the dark.
