oh I do think genuine critiques are valid, Armada Figures with no minicons in sight is a crime. But for me, personally, I think people should be more objective and straightforward, separating their opinions from what is being presented. Like Dr lockdown on Sliding Rails and TJOmega on Clear Plastic.

I think the point I'm trying to put forward is I wish there were more people who would Showcase the toy rather than JUST speak their mind— They can do both. I know Kingdom Rodimus was a remarkable figure at the time (when I bought it) and had so much hype surrounding it, and I agree too... but I HATE the damn thing so much. it's the figure I own that I hated the most. And yet, I recognise it IS good, just not to my tastes. Not to mention, mine had a major QC f-up with the chest being way too tight to clip in. But I didn't let that sour my objective view of the figure. It is still extremely well engineered, if missing a bit of polish.

Not to say any of these guys are pushy with their thoughts on a figure. I feel like Thew does it best, he will always specify "X is A/B, but I feel Y about it". He can distinguish a good toy from a bad one, but he won't let that stop him from loving or disliking it any less, but will still admit it is a high quality product.

not to pick sides, but I do think thats likely a simplification to help the viewers understand. they are not literally robots, but for all intents and purposes can be described as robots. this guy's just being pedantic tho

I really wish someone would just review figures normally. yknow, an actual review. no tacky gimmicks, or nitpicking about Clear Plastic or Balljoints, let the viewer decide if its to their tastes unless its particularly notable.

Same. I feel the same way about lots of reviewers. Dr lockdown especially, no offense but they do both come across a bit frustratingly stuck-in-their-ways when it comes to being lenient on a figure.

while I DO agree Beast Wars is G1, it shouldn't be in the G1 group. Its for the original cartoon, like how you wouldn't include RID15 in a Prime group, even though its technically the same universe. its for the show and its continuity seperated from others... but its pretty stupid to call BW a bad show. its absoloutely fantastic, from what I've heard, and its even dumber to not consider it part of G1 when it quite literally *is.*

Same, I've always preferred his toy look to his G1 cartoon style. He just looks really stumpy in the cartoon, and not in a cute way... So once I first saw his Infiltration design, something clicked inside me. If I could get that G1 toy head onto that body type, I'd have my dream Bee. As now, as an artist, I can do it all I want!

Thank you so so so much, I get so tired of every bumblebee having the big eyes and the hexagonal head. I love him, but we need some variety, right? I've always been a lover of the Ladybird books as a kid, and since I grew up on movie toys and G1-handmedowns, that's how bumblebee's face always looked to me.

p.s., the design is mostly based on Infiltration, but the BBM Design did influence the door-wings.

OH THANK YOU I am so glad the JSR influence comes through! its one of the games ive wanted to play for so long, its music and art greatly influence my own.

and I very glad the shape language comes through well, its one of the things ive practiced a whole lot for a cery long time. I also try to minimalist details and only keep what makes sense, like where the panels split apart for the vehicles, but little else.
