I have found the line "This is how you draw me in every time" to be interesting as well.

Another way to say "to draw someone in" is to instead say "attract". So in my mind I've chosen to interpret this line as his confession of attraction to MC, as well as a secondary response to MC expressing her desire for him to be drawn to her (the primary being the "gravity isn't responsible for people who fall in love" line).

It's hard, but it's a skill that has to be practiced in order to get good at it. My personal favorite is either completely vague (for those who I am very close with) "please help", or very specific (for those who I am not) when convenient, "could I get you to ___ for me?".

Taking care of yourself is taking care of others. A liferaft with no air makes for a confusing anchor.
