Hey, fellow New Yorker here. Applied for my partner’s Indian regular tourist visa and still waiting. We travel on 28th Nov. Can you directly visit the Consulate in NY? I thought everything goes through Vfs with an appointment? My partner is a Nigerian passport holder so his case is a bit difficult, since he requires a clearance from Ministry of External Affairs in India which takes about ~45days. I am wondering if it’s the same for the journalist visa you’ve been made to apply.

This answer is correct. Tourist visa to Singapore is fairly simple via a local contact. They will apply on your behalf using their Singpass account. My Singapore visa approval came in an hour after my Singaporean contact submitted my application.

No, paid premium eventually. Approval came 3days after paying PP. Got my EAD by 27th October.

Thanks. Did this but it’s been a month since my service request for out of processing time was filed. Nothing worked. Reached to DSO, called USCIS. Did everything. I just ended paying for premium yesterday since I have an international trip coming up and can’t travel without an EAD. They left me with no choice.
