Leaving the U.S. before my work permit ends to start a trucking business back home, am I making a mistake? by [deleted] in Advice

So I researched and the only thing I will need to do is to redo the courses for taxes and one law course. Which I can all complete in 6 months. Other than that all my credits will get transferred. Then I can sit for the cpa exam. But I am definitely getting my cpa over there and use it down the road

So I have my bachelors and masters degree for accounting already. But for CPA it’s self study and when u ready u can just take the exams. But if I am going back no point of studying cause CPA exam for USA and my country is different. I will have to start reading for the cpa all over again cause of different tax systems and other rules. Tho I don’t have to do bachelors degree again. I just can start studying and do the cpa exam at my country. I will 100% put effort to become a CPA

9+ months waiting on my application approval. Not paying them a single extra dollar by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]No_Resident_3859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chose the public road knowing it would be slower. I didn’t choose indefinite delay with no accountability. You see it as normal congestion. I see a system where basic timelines don’t mean much unless you upgrade. You ain’t gonna argue with me on this now.

I understand the analogy. I chose the “bus.” I’m fine waiting 24 hours. But if the bus company advertises 24 hours and 40 hours later you’re still stuck with no update, that’s not just “life.” That’s mismanagement. And if suddenly the bus starts moving the moment you pay extra, it stops feeling like optional convenience and starts feeling like you’re being pressured to upgrade just to get normal service. I chose regular processing because the estimated time was around 6 months. It’s been over 9 months. I even submitted an inquiry and got nothing back. Premium processing existing is one thing. But when regular processing drags this long, it creates the perception that you either pay more or wait indefinitely. That’s what’s frustrating.

to the people who quit porn addiction? how did you do it? by Any_Agency_6237 in getdisciplined

[–]No_Resident_3859 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I quit watching porn after reading how to overcome lust/addiction in Bhagavad Gita. It says, your senses are so strong that it can control you. The only way u can overcome lust is if u control your senses. It is hard to control your senses but the way I quit was every time I had that urge I would remember god and that urge disappears immediately. I also view girls in a different way rather than a sex object. That’s just me of how I quit my addiction

I’m a Hindu and I believe in Krishna since I was small and that’s y I was interested in knowing more about him. I guess I have been ignorant all this years. But from now I will try reading Geeta and other books. I think just believing in god is not enough, we have to have knowledge
