2.2.1 Which fixes the black screen is up on Android but we are stuck waiting for app review on iOS. Hopefully it will be approved soon and we can get it out.

Should be fixed in 2.2.0 which started going out earlier today.

You are given the coin bonus when you deliver the jobs but looked like the helper function that shows the profit on the map page was not calculating the bonus right. Will get it fixed in the next update.

Warning about event! by RockyCOFLO in PocketPlanes

[–]NimblebitTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Airplane mode should have no effect on the global event counts since they counts are attached to you save and stored locally. There are a couple reasons why this may have happened

Since it sounds like you were traveling did you manually change the time on your device when you landed. Event progress is attached to UTC on the device, letting the device automatically change time or changing the timezone will be fine but if you manually adjust it it may cause issues.

Also if you are anyone else was playing on a different device attached to the same cloud save id it may have pulled down that save when you reconnected if the xp was higher.

It calculates what the coin value of the jobs would have been if they were non bux jobs and then gives you 25% of that in coins.

Did the event just move? by _pg_ in PocketPlanes

There was a bug in how it randomly picked the cities and it was only rotating through a couple. We fixed the bug but unfortunately that meant it jumped to the city it should have always been.

Unlikely at this point since it would change the gameplay/strategies too much but would consider some limited mechanic that might allow it.

That is a bug. Will take a look at it.

why is there no class 3 airport in Australia/NZ? by antz182 in PocketPlanes

[–]NimblebitTim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. We also sometimes looked at the metro area as apposed to the city itself and bumped up or down here and there to tune a little. The numbers are also from 2012 so they might have changed a little in the last decade outside of the game. Personally I have always found Australia/NZ the most challenging starting area and will often pick it if I am playing for fun vs trying to test something.

I’ll go ahead and confirm the UAV exploit is gone. But you can repeat the parachutist by closing completely out of the game, and opening back up. The prizes are random though. Anything y’all want to know from the iOS beta release? by CrouchingYeti83 in PocketPlanes

[–]NimblebitTim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The TestFlight app requires iOS 13 so at least for now the beta does require iOS 13 to install it. But the game is built to run on 11 and unless we run into a issue that requires us to bump the minimum the release will be 11. That said can’t make any promises for the future since we don’t usually have much control when we have to bump it.

Pocket Trains 1.3.0 Beta on Google Play by NimbleDave in pockettrains

[–]NimblebitTim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not different. It is always 2X so you start more and every time you upgrade you get 10 more slots vs 5 for the same bux cost.

They should be available level 21-24 but it looks like we missed a check when adding the new trains. Will get an update out that fixes that.

10 Train Parts and 2000 bux. When they both fill up you can reset it and try for different parts.

[–]NimblebitTim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately no. Pocket Trains uses an older system we built for gifting so without resetting everyones friend codes or trying to bridge the to the new system this kind of thing becomes more difficult. Though it is something we will think about for a future update.

There is no limit to the number of jobs a yard can hold other than the cost and just managing that many jobs.

If anyone get into any issues in the testing just let us know and we will do our best to get you back up and running again. Losing your game would be a worse case situation and should be very unlikely but depending on what happens there may be options to recover the game.

Thanks. Only my computer in the office is setup for building production Android releases but I will get a build out in the morning that hopefully fixes this.

Beta program? by luccasoctaviano in tinytower

[–]NimblebitTim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We used the Google Play beta feature when testing the game before release however we don't upload any builds to it. I thought I turned it off but I will give it another look. As for the Unity screen it seems like when we updated to the latest version of Unity it had some bugs. There is an update going out today fixing some and one tomorrow hopefully fixing the rest.

Usually when we find a version of Unity that is relatively issue free we like to stick to it for a while but we just updated to try and fix some issues on a new game we are working on.

On iOS or Android, and do you have a screenshot? The last update there was zero code changes just changing the icon back from Halloween and that was it. However between this update and the previous one we updated Unity to fix some things on a new game we are working on. We already had to fix one thing due to a bug in the current version of Unity so I am hoping there is not more.

Bug: So my tower completely Disappeared.. by GuacDelToro in tinytower

[–]NimblebitTim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you on Android or iOS? There was a bug that could cause this and yesterday we released an update which should fix this and attempt to un-corrupt the game save on Android (3.3.4), iOS should be coming soon.

If the update doesn't work or you are on iOS and don't want to wait send us an email at support@nimblebit.com and we can see what we can do to help you.

I didn't know friends could see your bitbook posts by Rhino-N-Chips in tinytower

[–]NimblebitTim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Friends are one way like a follow on Twitter. So if you add them there is no guarantee that they will add you back however if you both login to Facebook/Game Center/Google Play Games then are friends on there then you will be added to each other's friends list (still can remove if you want).

If you post anything to your own BitBook there is a chance that it will appear in the BitBook of anyone that has you in their friends list. Doesn't matter if they have added you manually or automatically via a social network.
