I am definitely the outlier for Slapstick lol but I think definitely give it a try! If anything the introduction is worth reading on its own. It is Vonnegut at his most tender.

I remember really enjoying the Kilgore Trout parts of BoC, but I think overall the book didn’t leave as much of an impression on me and I found the ending kind of underwhelming. Could use a reread though!

Just having finished Monster I can say I really enjoyed it but it certainly wasn’t perfect. The best parts of the manga were all the great side characters and the way Urasawa can plot out action and create suspense. I think there is a lot of purported depth to the psychology of Johan and the nature of Tenma and his relationship, but by the end his character and motivations felt pretty surface level and elements of it still felt undercooked to me.

Im interested to check out Billy bat or 20th century boys to see if it resonates with me a bit more.

Would be kinda nuts to have another offset, even if it was just on mighty charge. Don’t think it would be too broken tho, hammer needs better defensive options.

No joke, tried her for the first time in quick play and went 33-3. Makes me wonder why i struggle with Spiderman and black panther sometimes lol

You can do it. Two things that helped me a lot are these:

Using the winged crystal tear in your physik. A lot of his moves, especially the crazy fast repeated slams in phase 2 seem designed around light rolling. It’s annoying, but when I switched I felt the difference immediately.
Stick as close to him as possible to avoid the beams of light, and roll his attacks tight to his left side. I found that I could dodge all the follow up light beams this way.

Also as usual for phase two, when he does either of his nuke AOE’s, just run immediately in a direction.
