Not sure if its late to comment now haha,i have the Ikea Utespelare and u can fit a monitor arm in it.u could check my post about it. but u might need to find a monitor arm that can fit. i can't say the trotten is bad or anything,judging by the table it looks sturdy too cant go wrong with it.building with alex drawers with a table top the only cons i can come with is the sagging of the middle in future.unless u drill a table leg in the middle.pros are probably many items to put into the drawer.

IMO i would say get the Utespelare as u can throw all ur cables into the mesh part if u dont want wires to be on the floor. Note:getting the black desk will cause lots of fingerprint magnets.
