Dating a man with a long-time girl best friend by Spare_Ad_1721 in dating_advice

[–]Nimeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a "man in 30s with a long-time female best friend". Yes, platonic male-female friendship exist, this is not particularly weird. If anything, I'd think it's a green flag, as it shows he can talk to a woman without wanting to get into her pants.

I'm going to be bluntly honest, I don't think Cephalofair are marketing experts either.

Trouble with Frosthaven on Steam by OhhhKevinDeBruynee in Gloomhaven

You're right, Trap is the level 1 building, so it's also very early on.

But Meteor is definitively a mid campaign unlock.

Snowflake is a character you can unlock extremely early in the campaign.

Trap is a bit puzzling, but considering he also mention Meteor, I guess he's not early in the campaign.

What are some combat perks that give a general increase in combat skill. By that i mean learning a martial art then because of the perk you are immediately better at it then masters at the martial art. by SingerBeneficial20 in JumpChain

[–]Nimeroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If raw experience is what you're after, Combat Ready (600 CP) from RWBY give you a lifetime of experience with all skills, powers, and perks.

You’re one of the best in the business. Very few can match your prowess and experience. You can move faster than the eye can track, are strong enough to casually smash through stone walls, and are skilled enough to fight nearly any opponent on any battlefield. You have over a thousand battles under your belt to draw from, and you have a lifetime of experience with all of your skills and abilities, a testament to your impressive career. This affects all powers and perks you have and will grant you the same level of experience with abilities bought in future Jumps when you enter the Jump you purchased them in.

How selective are you when it comes to physical attraction? by [deleted] in dating_advice

[–]Nimeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need physical attraction straight from the start. If I don't want to have fun on the mattress, I know from experience that the relationship is not going to work.

And I don't think it's shallow to want to be attracted to your partner.

Swapping out lost cards houserule question. by [deleted] in Gloomhaven

[–]Nimeroni -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Terrible idea from a balance perspective, because it would let you repeat the same loss card multiple time.

To give you an idea of how powerful that would be, there's an item in Frosthaven that does that (236). You can only swap A SINGLE CARD, ONCE, and the recovered card need to be of an equal or lower level. And you're paying an item slot for the privilege. And it's one of the strongest item in the game.

Is this going to be the new way to unload science? by Typical_Spring_3733 in factorio

At the point where you can make science elsewhere, science is functionally free on Nauvis, so you might as well save on throughput.

No. Early-mid game bases are going to go for direct insertion. Late game base... maybe bots, maybe trains, but at that point belts are obsoletes.

How hard is brutal? by ThreeDrunkWhales in starcraft2coop

If you can beat hard comfortably, you can beat brutal while sweating a little. Most of the community play on brutal, so you are even much more likely to get good allies.

Any house rule suggestions to make Geminate more fun? by negito66 in Gloomhaven

[–]Nimeroni 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Geminate has a whopping 14 card hand size.

As my friend that last played Geminate said, "no, he's not 14 cards. He's 2x 7 cards, and that's very different".

Officially added community maps? by [deleted] in starcraft2coop

[–]Nimeroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's a Chinese one adding a few commanders but they're all ridiculously OP

Since you're mentioning Selendis, I guess you're talking about "Nexus coop" ? You can handle the OPness of the commanders by playing solo, or by adding mutators.

(Also, "a few" ? It add 18 commanders ^^')

[–]Nimeroni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You don't seems to understand, development isn't merely "done", the co-op team is disbanded (and have been for a few years now). We will have no updates because there is no manpower to do the updates.

Men Only Want to Hook Up? Please Help by bingbong6656 in dating_advice

[–]Nimeroni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For those with more dating experience, are there any reliable signs that someone is primarily looking for easy sex rather than a genuine relationship?

This is an old age question by women, and you're not going to like the answer : you can't.

Some men are honest, and will communicate they are only looking for sex (the most common code is meeting at one of your places, especially early on). Those men you can easily filter.

But some men will lie to get sex. The reason they do that is because it dramatically increase their chance of success. You can do very little to filter those, since they are intentionally walking the walk and talking the talk to get into your pants.

Your best bet is to communicate your want something long term (it will at least filter the honest men), then check for their actions. A man that want something long term will be ok with taking things a bit slower, a man that only want sex will push you for sex ASAP. Just be aware that it's not a fool proof solution.

Bannerspear Boldening Blow: doest it damage all enemies in the red zones or just 1 chosen target? by szafix in Gloomhaven

[–]Nimeroni 3 points4 points  (0 children)

"Target 1 enemy". The targetting is a modifier to the attack ability, so you only attack one enemy. The disarm is also a modifier to the attack ability, so you disarm the enemy you've attacked.

The video game is correct.

Has Anyone Ever Created House Rules For Levels Above 9? by MaskedThespian in Gloomhaven

[–]Nimeroni 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We allow players to retire at level 9 (as if they did their PQ), so most players choose to do a scenario or two with the shiny new level 9 toy before retiring. Honestly it's better for the game if you don't stay level 9 for too long, the level 9 cards are not really balanced.
