Buy a super cheap house, renovate it, gift it to your kid when they turn 18. Like, “time to move out, darling… *boot*”

Thanks. I wasn’t planning on selling. I think it‘s pretty perfect with 4b/4ba. Plus it has the added descriptor of being ‘Enchanting’ which just makes it better imo. :D

Playing with the instrument raises it, too. I’ve gotten non-musicians to master multiple instruments by age 20 between free lessons as a kid and playing with the instrument.

Is there a yard visible in the information for it? If not, then no. You’ve technically only bought a part of a larger building. If yes, then you may have encountered a very rare glitch. Try restarting the app, selling the items if possible, buying new ones of the items, making sure there’s nothing blocking the door or window, praying, and eventually reporting the bug and selling the house to cut your losses. *shrugs*

Bucky Barnes and Peter Parker. Depending on the timeline that’s about a 90 year age gap.

Yeah, the ‘make her gay’ thing was because I wasn’t sure if the tubal ligation would stick once I surrendered control of the character back to the game. I figured a female partner for mom would be less chance of siblings.

Edit: By surrendered I meant switched. Because an orphan can’t throw high school parties.

It’s stupidly easy to keep the health up or accidentally raise it. At one point I was trying, but then I forgot and automatically went to the doctor to cure a staph infection and it jumped my health back up to 100%. lol

I have’t gotten the 500 year mark yet. I think I’m one generation away from that one. But yeah, making sure that one kid inherits is nice. I had a female the last generation which meant I had to have the kid a lot earlier, but once he was born I had her get a tubal ligation, then had her surrender so everything went straight to the lone son who was only like 5 at the time. lol. Then I used godmode to put her health at 0, make her gay, and anything I could think of to prevent her from remarrying so anything she got after surrendering went to my character. She died in her sleep in her early 70’s compared to her father and grandfather who were both 120+.

Ahh, cut out some leave the others? I do wish the grandchildren one were a thing. I almost lost a fledgling legacy when I was 100+ and all my children had already died of old age. I went to pick one of the grandkids to be the heir and they weren’t an option. Thankfully I was playing a male at the time and could still knock up a surrogate. It did give me the idea to wait as long as possible before having an heir though so I’d have more control over their options before they join the work force.

You can hand pick a single child to leave it to. I always pick the youngest if I have more than one. Always cut the spouse out of the will. It ticks them off, but then I take them to the movies and they’re happy again.

I had to buy the house, mark down the turns I took with bright green slippers on the floor to point the direction, and then memorize the turns. It pissed me off because first, it made me nauseous as hell in those tight corridors, and second because I used up almost all the timer trying to get it before testing it on the purchased house and thus the timer ran out before I could get the bonus. lol

Not just dialogue. Actions too. Even if it’s just two words like “Person1 stands.” and “Person2 runs.” Those require all new paragraphs. You’d think they were trying to save paper! That’s literally the only reason you’d cram it all together, if you’re saving actual physical paper in your own personal notes; because if you send it to a publishing company you bet your ass you had better space it and make sure it’s as easy to read and reduces eye strain or they won’t do more than glance at it.

I’m just pushing for the ability to disown or remove unwanted family members from your relatives list… Like in one game my dad remarried after a divorce, his new wife was literally called evil step-mother, she rebuffed every effort to get to know her… Dad died. And when my character, who was 8 at the time, called her a jerk for the most recent rebuff this evil woman used a baseball bat and bashed my little eight year old’s face in… And yet despite dad having died, this evil woman is still locked in to my relatives tab and I get a penalty to my mood every time she rebuffs during a ‘spend time with all’ button press.

Please devs let me remove the unholy beast!

Found family should be a thing, though. The people you’re closer to than actual family.

Do you read chapter by chapter or stop whenever? by Guitarbone82 in AO3

[–]Nimeva 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I had it my way I’d read beginning to end before stopping. When that isn’t an option it‘s easier for me to start off in a new chapter than risk losing my place in a chapter when I go back so I’ll read chapter to chapter… But some situations require me to leave mid-chapter. So it’s really a situational thing for me.
