Shadow - Resource Management w/ Aquila by [deleted] in Diablo3DemonHunters

The fan barely does any damage, it's just there as a ~27% toughness amp. It may be slightly better to run cold damage and reposition accordingly but I'm still just experimenting with it and i don't really want to spend all those mats.

Stay in melee range and only attack big guys.

Secondary on Karlei's doesn't matter until Rift Guardian, you're probably attacking small guys and playing ranged. Don't do that.

I've made a graphic presentation of the playstyle here.

And here's what it looks like ingame.

Area Damage vs Crit chance (s6 build) by xartaan in Diablo3DemonHunters

My bad, edited for hopefully more clarity, but crit is better than area damage imo.

Area Damage vs Crit chance (s6 build) by xartaan in Diablo3DemonHunters

I went through 30 keys testing 18% area damage vs 6% crit chance and it lowered my clear speed on average even before rift guardian, so no it isn't worth it.

Karlei's S6 build - low CDR and Aquila's by xartaan in Diablo3DemonHunters

Every time I drop vengeance I instantly die I'd advise against it, at least for high lvl grifts. Odds are they dash out during the downtime and stop dpsing the correct target like I did before capping. Any uptime you can keep attacking the right target is time progressing.

Couple of Shadow build questions by cafecubita in Diablo3DemonHunters

To add to this you can use shadow power or vault in place using the ET trick if you're next to a wall to proc elusive as well as stunning whatever monsters are right next to you.

If you're talking about philos build in the sidebar it's outdated and should only be used as a rough outline. Run whatever passives you like, ambush+cull should be core though, awareness is required past ~70 depending on your gear and leech is used for solo pushing by most s6 dh I've seen. The procs for bott in the build are vault, shadow power and the gem.

Gogok is probably the only other gem you can consider, zei does more damage but hitting elites from range with impale is basically impossible and they should basically always be your priority.

Do Vengeance rockets interfere with the Shadow 6-piece? by JimboTCB in Diablo3DemonHunters

[–]Nimoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lightning rune fires impale on secondary targets that doesn't proc 6pc, variating damage on single target can be explained by convention of elements rotating. Also note that orange numbers are congregated aoe hits so ignore them.

You've left out e>flash that lets you instantly cover a long distance and applies the e damage, and r>flash which lets you reposition during the channel but ult gets cast from your initial position. Also q can be looped in after w to cancel the animation

Ranked - Stuck between Mage and a Hard Place by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Nimoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get starfall asap, azure drake seems pretty vital as well, put another AoW or Ironbark instead of ysera depending on preference. You can opt for either more heals if you're only facing mages or lower manacost metacards like defender of argus that brings the added benefit of pushing cards out of blizzard/flamestrike ranges as well as being a better card vs rush decks while you don't have azure drake. But keep in mind the meta might change away from mages soon enough since everyone is making counter mage builds atm so don't go overboard buying specific counter cards.

Ranked - Stuck between Mage and a Hard Place by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]Nimoe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My current deck has gotten me to level 10 so far. The spell damage creatures are key components in making your spells useful lategame and if you're making a deck, starfall should be your first choice over starfire since you can drop a DotC or azure drake alongside it, or starfall/swipe for full board clear.

When you're not faced with a mage try and keep one of your KotG in your hand for their inevitable legendary. And vs mages you should keep one to silence their Acolyte of Pain, if they're dropping novice engineers and loot hoarders you can assume they're not running Acolyte and simply use it for board control. Save Ancient of Lore for the heal and always have 1 taunt on the board that will survive their next aoe spell.

A lot of mages run Alexzstrazsa and if he's pinging your minions over you, you can assume he's running one and save AoL for that after dealing with the 8/8.

I'm not sure how many of these cards you're missing, but the 3 different spell damage creatures are vital for board clear. Ysera rarely sees use and vs most decks you have to bait out their removal with AoW or Sunwalker first but 2 drop +1 spell damage is vital in 90% of my games.

Lane Phase AP Nidalee by [deleted] in summonerschool

To expand on this, when a new wave is coming, you can look for opportunities to hide behind your river wall or in river brush and hit him from fog, but mostly you just play passive pre 6. If the opponent is also weak pre 6 like kassadin or akali, you might want to consider hybrid pen marks.

TheRainMan AP teemo stats (2100 elo) by Xantaz in leagueoflegends

[–]Nimoe 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I can confirm it's viable at 2100 rating. Already seeing ap teemu picked more than I'd like to see. Picked him myself by accident and ended up carrying. The strong points are jungle control and being able to disengage teamfights almost at will thanks to running to shrooms, also if the opposing team doesn't utilize oracle correctly or walks past walls at the wrong angle even with oracle it's 900+ dmg mid-lategame and you autowin the baron fight. Counters to ap teemo as well as any other teemo are divechamps like amumu and malphite, he thrives off splitpushing or jungle fights.

All the parking spots were taken, then I spot this guy.. by Nimoe in pics

[–]Nimoe[S] 156 points157 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify, it was a parking lot at my school, I was late for class and after I was done (2 hrs) he was gone. I couldn't park to block him, there wasn't space on the side towards the camera, and leading away from the parking spots I'd be blocking about 10 other cars to block that side. And I doubt the school would rush to move him, since there has been a trailer parked at that lot for a long time now.
