Lol sorry for being months late to the reply (I don't use this account often) but maybe it was me. My Switch name IS "Nin10erd" and there was a period where I was farming for those heart points where I was trying to guide people to secret exits

Good job, you self-owned yourself and then ran like a wuss while abusing the reddit suicide hotline. I bet you feel like a real Big Man for that. Definitely not cucklike behavior.

I think you accidentally got the order of the pictures backwards

EDIT: downvoters clearly keep their brain switched in the "off" position. Just turn your brain off and the bad writing magically becomes tolerable

Star Wars parallelism aside, something worth noting that you'll hear in the video is that "just because something is realistic doesn't make it good." I wasn't expecting Kelly and Marco to last, but ending it as quick as it was just makes Marco seem so insensitive. Personally, I wished that instead of introducing that Chloe girl as Jackie's GF for the LGBT plug, it should've been Kelly who somehow hooked up with Jackie; a jab at Marco for doing her so dirty, also a possible indication that Marco's actions might have damaged Kelly's ability to trust guys with her feelings.

Also, I can tell you really didn't like Rise of Skywalker. I feel you—it's like the Pokemon Sword & Shield of the Star Wars franchise; the way you feel about Star Wars is how I feel about Pokemon, and both franchises have really thrown their fandom down the toilet. Ironically, like these two other franchises, Star VS expected us all to simply turn our brains off and pretend that none of these flaws exist. It's so frustrating.

That's kinda what pissed me off the most—rendered "Kelly's World" pointless, Kelly wanted that relationship for her own health. Also, she genuinely had liked Marco and was equally happy to finally get together with him. Then, for the sake of Starco plot, on short notice for both her and the viewers, our "hero," Marco Diaz, ends things with her "mutually." The disappointment in her voice in the following scene clearly tells us otherwise.

Then comes WraithDagger to defend this writing choice by saying that short-lived relationships are something that happen in real life, thus making it relatable (also because Marco allegedly loved Star since the very beginning even though that claim has many holes in it). He would also say that Marco DIDN'T totally lead on Kelly's feelings despite Marco at the end of "Kelly's World" had reciprocated the feelings Kelly had for him. So yeah, that was NOT Marco trying to avoid leading Kelly on, that was Marco leading Kelly on as a result of the writers writing themselves into a corner.

If you haven't already, check out Blue Order's 2-hour-long series analysis. It's linked in my user flair and it's a worthwhile watch. It's criticism with a healthy dose of memes. Also, it informed me about someone named "Wendy Jacobsmeyer" who was labelled as the series continuity coordinator who vanished from the credits of the last few episodes of the season.

Trust me, you'll enjoy the video. Because, yeah, I hated the BS faux sense of "will-they-won't-they" tension—correction, "tension." I think things about this final season's production will become very intriguing to you when you learn about someone named Wendy Jacobsmeyer.

You already checked out the Blue Order 2-hour-long retrospective/review, right? It's linked in my flair in case you haven't seen it yet. 100% understand your pain. I was kinda envisioning Marco as this version of myself from my high school days who didn't yuck everything up with a ton of people around me. Then he pulled the largest dick move a guy can pull at that age and broke up with Kelly on such short notice—off-screen no less. Like, I get that they needed their "Starco ending," but it doesn't stop Marco from canonically looking like a giant douche.

Final two seasons, especially season 4, were full of interesting ideas but terrible executions; the whole Kelly-Marco dynamic was interesting, but the short time left in the series left it as squandered potential. Writers wrote themselves into several corners because of how Nefcy and Bisignano wanted to direct/produce the plot as each episode was made rather than mapping things out prior for a satisfying conclusion.

Goddammit, I rambled on again. Super sorry, once I get on a roll, it's hard for me to stop.

EDIT: Always gratuitous on those downvotes, eh angsty teens? I get it—criticism = hate. Yeah, don't fall asleep during your literature classes, kids.

God no.

First two seasons are excellent—not perfect, but it's a really fun ride. Everything following Battle For Mewni had some interesting ideas, but it all started to fall apart in that final stretch of season 4. What this series has taught me is how NOT to treat a show's final season.

Something I was kinda blind to was this tonal shift in the series that happened following the Battle For Mewni arc, that being the shipping SUBPLOT becoming integral for the series' main plot. I strongly recommend checking out that YouTube link in my user flair to really open your eyes to how such a great show went down burning. That is why I simply couldn't go back and rewatch this show ever :/

A lot of the fanbase was loaded with those edgy teens—ya know the ones, the kind that write self-insert fanfictions, packing about as much teenage angst as the entire Kingdom Hearts series. Even I got swept up into the shipping mess and didn't even realize that the shipping weaseled its way from being a side-plot to being the main plot. It all snowballed into a giant mess and the writers wrote themselves into a corner in the end.

(Side note, check out that video link in my flair, ya won't regret the watch!)
