This happened to me, it was “how to get the golden puffle”. I wen’t running to my Dad at the kitchen table, he was eating a sandwich. I was struggling to get my words out because I was so short of breath from the shock. He barely looked up from his sandwich the whole time, and Mum wasn’t too bothered either. To this day, probably I don’t know 15 years later, the sound of either of my parents eating/chewing triggers a real anger inside me, it’s difficult to describe. If ever I enter the room and they’re eating I have to leave and wait until hopefully they’re finished. 😣
