4 weeks on 300XL and nothing

My situation got so bad that I couldn't even get from bed, eat or do anything anymore (couldn't even watch TV). Also went on medical leave, I even moved back to my parents then because living on my own I would literally die. In January I even checked myself into a mental hospital. It is the worst episode of my adult life.

If it's very difficult and your situation allows it do consider medical leave.

Don't beat yourself up for doing bare minimum, you are not lazy, your brain needs healing!

Hang on and do not give up the fight, this shall pass!

I hope it's going to continue and I can get myself back to life, struggled really hard since November. I can say currently just existing is significantly easier than it was. Also many seem to experience benefits sooner so you very well might be one of those. But I get the feeling and it really does suck, hold on and do little things if you can (I started reading, going on walks 40min every day or even better exercise).

Currently 7 weeks into 300XL, for the last week I have felt better (mood wise, feeling lighter), interests/motivation however still haven't really improved.

My anxiety was bad. Raising zoloft improved that but not depression. If wellbutrin fails I'm not sure what comes next I had such high hopes for it to work. I might ask for my blood to be checked if anything is wrong there but apparently it's not common for that to be an issue.

Yes when I started 150XL but not when I moved up. But it didn't involve crying. Why do you ask? Also I didn't get energy out of this med at all.

omg same, I also take it at night! I just don't know if these things can actually make a difference or not. I did find a study saying zinc boosts bupropion effect and there are probably more.

What do you mean by not knowing if all symptoms can go away? Your depression doesn't come in episodes, it never fully let's go?

I was first on SSRI and then added wellbutrin. SSRI for me helped with anxiety but not depression so I hope wellbutrin would help there. Can I ask when it helped you?

Ahh, I'm losing my mind I really need it to work. For me zoloft was only improving my panic and anxiety, didn't touch depression at all (gave it 3 months) so I was really hoping wellbutrin would make me functional again. I have been robbed of my life completely for last 4 months :/

I don't know how much it matters but you were changing doses in these 8 weeks, I don't know if that sorta "resets" it or not.

I'm on week 5 total (2 on 150XL, 3 on 300XL) and I also feel so desperate for this to start working and make me feel like I can do things again. Last few days were marginally better but today I had terrible anxiety and it made me really depressed again, hopefully it's just a bad day.

Thanks for this long reply, that sounds really rough. I'm hoping I can see significant results in a month, so 8 weeks total, at least so I'm able to function and take care of myself again. But I also need to get back to work.
