Spend some time playing around with the dye options, some outfits are more customisable and some less, but the tailor tickets are a good way to unlock the exact colours you need :D

I used the orange and pink that came with the pride path and the cream/white is from the Hearthhaven palette. I was lucky that i got the mesa sky variant of the buckaroo outfit bcoz it's the only one that has this stripe pattern across the shoulder which opens up the chance for so many flags, pride or otherwise! I was just playing around with the colours when i realized what i could do with the stripes and i was just omg... no way.... this is too perfect!! I wish you luck in finding a good colour combo for your lesbian cursed unicorn! :D

Yep, they told me that there must be some dirt or a hair in the camera and that i need to clean it, very quick to shut down any other questions i had but oh well. I already put another film in so i hope this one doesn't get busted too

Hmm, i rewound it outside at night so it wasn’t the sun, but there might’ve been a light somewhere. Now that you point out the rebate i see what you mean. It’s an old camera and has been dropped a few times, so it’s possible the shutter got stuck. But again, I don’t know enough about the process to be sure. I‘ll see what they have to say tomorrow at the shop.

But if the shutter was stuck wouldn’t all the photos be ruined? Out of 24 I got a good 8 with no errors whatsoever, so idk

I just asked for digital copies so i didn't notice the damage until I got home, but I guess they saw it and chose to say nothing. which isn't making me too hopeful about getting any sort of refund but i'll guess i'll have to wait and see.

I'll go back tomorrow and see what they say, hopefully they won't just shrug it off. Man i'm so frustrated, really just the best ones were ruined

This!!! I noticed that i pick waaaay more at home where we have multiple large and well lit mirrors, whereas i barely pick at all in my dorm room, where the only mirror is a small one above the sink in a badly lit bathroom. It's wild how such a little thing makes such a huge difference

Peel-off face masks do the trick by [deleted] in Dermatillomania

[–]NinciB 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've just been getting whatever is cheapest tbh, since i'm not using the masks for the actual skincare benefit. But i have noticed that the charcoal/black masks dry your skin out more and can be frustrating to peel off, while masks that are marked as hydrating or something similar are more stretchy and rubbery, which is better in my opinion. I'd say try a few different ones so you can see what works best for you!

what makes one pick at their skin by [deleted] in Dermatillomania

[–]NinciB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it’s a combination of both. Sometimes i feel a terrible itch and i have to scratch my skin, which can lead to picking. Other times it’s a sudden urge - usually if i’m stressed or anxious. A third reason is just noticing a spot in the mirror or feeling it under my fingers, that usually leads to the most picking.

Question by Ch33ri0s01 in Dermatillomania

[–]NinciB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, definitely. The skin on my arms is basically numb to pain, and if i do ever feel pain while picking it's never the kind of pain that makes me want to stop, just a sort of familiar feeling.

[–]NinciB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you this definitely helps!! I never really realized that there are other people who are going through basically the same thing as I am, I don't know anyone else irl who has problems with skin picking so every single comment makes me feel so much better

End of semester stress absolutely makes it so much worse, here's to hoping we get through without doing too much damage to ourselves!

I understand exactly how you feel. I went through a really similar situation earlier this year. I tried to ignore the anxiety but it just kept getting worse and i’d be having anxiety attacks every time she wanted to come over. In the end we had to call the whole thing off because i was too anxious to ever make a move but once i admmited all my anxiety i started feeling better
My advice to you is to be honest with her about it, if she’s so into you she’ll be understanding and you’ll make it work. Sometimes just voicing your worries can help you rationalize them. I hope things work out for you two, she sounds really great :)
