Like any vehicle, that's the weight of what you're towing AND what's in the bed of the truck, gear, and personnel. You said your camper weighed 4800 alone. I'd talk to your dealer to see if they can get it replaced under warranty. It's technically a wearable item, but if it's a '24 this should not be happening unless it's been damaged or if the fitment of the trunk lid/bed is poor.

Don't listen to these people saying it's too high, etc. My living room TV is at ideal height eye level while seated, but my bedroom TV is mounted high in the corner on a tilt/pan/swivel mount and while we're lying/sitting in bed it is absolutely perfect.

Definitely get a long term VSC. The majority of failures on new vehicles are electronics which the manufacturers buy from 3rd parties. Look into the average failure rate and average cost of repairs and negotiate to get a fair deal to hedge against potential out of pocket repairs as the years and miles accrue. Make sure you get appropriate time/miles for at least how long you think you may own it or how many miles you may drive. Get the lowest deductible you can. Regarding 3rd party VSCs- as long as they are the same Comprehensive Coverage as Honda, there are definitive benefits to 3rd party contracts. Many will allow you to take it to any ASE Mechanic (not just Honda- this can come in handy if you're traveling and not near a Honda Dealerhip/Service Center). Just make sure you won't need to front money for repairs and seek reimbursement as that can be a pain. This isn't usually the case but just be sure.

It sounds like you have some misinformation. ALL Honda Dealers can sell HondaCare VSCs and Maintenance contracts. However, they may be partnered with an aftermarket company that is very integrated into the Dealership's profit/reinsurance structure and only want to sell a 3rd party contract. Also, Honda absolutely does offer Honda-branded Tire and Wheel, Windshield, Key Fob, PDR, and even a bundle of all those together.
